Question of Fun: Should I get 2 more Hammerheads?

Yeah. I hate how horrible the price gouging is on those hammer heads. so much empty space in that box. FOR WHAT. I understand theyre selling smalls for $20 each but really???? These things are smaller than xwing small ships.

You could always find someone with the pack to split the cost with. I find 3 a good amount to run. Though I do wish they were cheaper, I see why they did it. (Taskforce titles obviously cause they don't want to give you something you can't use.)

I find them worth the cost with one or two cheap upgrades. A Scout with Quad Battery Turrets is pretty effective slow rolling or a Torpedo frigate with External racks to drop one big hit or two small (but meaty) hits on a target.

Plus their maneuver chart isn't all that bad honestly.

There are a couple of players in the Denver area that run 4+ HH Scouts with TFO and slaved turrets under Commander Organa. They fly kindof like Raiders in a capturing-prey mode, except that the capture happens at long range. With the CF dial, all but one hit you with 4x red, a 2x reroll and a 1x reroll that just burn though defenses fast. The nastier list augments the HH's with 3xTRC90's and a moderate bid for first player. It fleet combines the ability to control when the battle happens with a potent extra wallop at that time.

Another fun thing you can do with Commander Organa and a corvette is run them as minesweepers. Deliberately hit a mine with the 'vette, and then repair the card right away with an engineering command. Now the rest of the fleet can proceed normally.

Would be fun to get minesweeper boats in this game. And Destroyer escorts.
