First Deck Builds - Assault on Dol Guldor

By Angry_Koala, in Strategy and deck-building

Hi all,

A friend and I are going to be taking part in our first organised game. I need to prepare a couple of decks for the event (as I'm supplying for my friend as well) and could really do with some pointers.

I have the following cards (2 x core, Voice of Isengard, Flame in the West, A Journey to Rhosgobel, The Hunt for Gollum and Conflict at the Carrock.

I'll list all of my cards and hope that I get some pointers. I've played well with Tactics decks so far and enjoy using Eómer where I can.

If you really want to use Eomer, you'll want to include lot's of wimpy allies that die easily to maximize his ability. Prince Imrahil is also a very good choice for this strategy. For a third hero, I recommend Legolas, because his ability is quite handy in this quest. Essentially, just put in all the cheap allies you can find and include a couple of the bigger allies and the best events and attachments (Gandalf, Sneak Attack, Feint, Faramir, Horn of Gondor, and maybe Steward of Gondor, but someone else will probably be using it).

Also, one pointer, Esquire of Rohan and of Gondor can only be used in campaign mode if you've earned them by playing the Saga quests.

I hope it goes well!
