Rebel troopers conversion kit?

By NairoD, in Star Wars: Legion

Hi,

My friend that buy starter with me choose an rebels asked me to do an conversion kit for them.

First kit wil l be easy. I wil l sculpt new heads (Twilek, Mon Calmari, etc)

Second one will be more complicated. I will make conversion to hoth soldiers uniform.

And here is my question for you guys. I found on net examples of how many parts empire troopers have but couldnt find any rebels diagrams. Where I can found those?

Edited by NairoD

The parts are shown in the Sorastro rebel painting video. Around 1:40 min.

Thx

Start digging on Youtube :)

EDIT: Chcecked

FFG why heads are not modular. Heve to use small saw for few troopers. Makeing conversion kit easy to glue is impossible :(

Will have to convert at least one full squad for my friend (he will have to mix them wit other teams

to make it easier for beginners to get into it. They've stated this several times.

hoth troopers will probably be released as a unit.

If this alternative heads are released, even on a limited garage kit run let me know. I would be very interested.

I will drop info when heads will be ready. It will be about 3 weeks afther relase of Legion.

could you give me a guide what radÄ™ I should choose?

For sure I will sculpt twilek and moncalmarian head.

Sony expect to be super extra sculpt as I work with GS ocasionally.

Good start. Sullustan? Ithorian? Rodian would be extra cool. Do you sculpt more than heads? I would be interested in what else you could accomplish.

I would also like to convert the 2nd Alien Rebel figure, seems odd that they would have the same racial makeup in 2 squads.

Regards hoth rebels...imo wait a while. They have announced Imperial Hoth Figures, im absolutely sure they will be releasing Rebel Hoth Figures soon too?

Hi

Will try, to make one Head for each trooper.

Twilek will be easy to make, Mon Calmari will take Time but also is possible. I will check all suggestions and wrote that is possible.

Devronian, Bothan and Togruta are pretty common humanoid species.

Bith and Dressellians!

I'm just gonna take the odd alien SWIA and mix it unto Rebel squads. Throw a 40k imperial guard backpack on them and call it done :)

This is one of the reason I think they should have kept the scale with IA. Many people of both games would grab models of the other game for variety.

I hope not...Snowtroopers have an entirely different skill set than "normal" Stormtroopers...Hoth Rebels are just regular troopers with warm clothing. Having ONE squad in white/tan winter gear while the rest of your guys are in Endor/Tatooine / Sullust camo will look weird too (Snowtroopers don't look THAT different than regular troopers)

Nothing says you would HAVE to paint them in white/tan, unless FFG releases the most restrictive tournament rules ever.

truth...but they LOOK like cold weather troops...much more than Snowtroopers....and as I said Hoth Rebel troops had not special skill set while Snow troopers are elite special forces troops (like the 10th mountain division).
I would prefer we see Rebel special forces...maybe some of the stuff from Rogue One.

No disagreement in regards to training in cannon, however FFG has already treated Echo base troopers as a separate entity to the "standard" Rebel trooper in IA. If for nothing else than to give people the option of different uniforms. I wouldn't mind seeing Alderaanian consular security though, particularly as I have seen rumors of Leia being the next Rebel commander released.

I think Rebel commandos will end up in the "Special forces" army slot, potentially as the Rebel release alongside the rumored Scout trooper sniper team.

I sent Bothans to capture me an objective point.

All dead.

...

But seriously, I must have many Bothans. I will bury my enemy under their corpses.

Won't have to worry too much about scale and aliens...like I've pointed out previously. Aliens and humans can come in all shapes and forms. :)

I really hope they do more than just the white helmet, black vest and blue shirt...

I want guys that look like actual soldiers like these:
