It's been awhile since I've posted anything on this forum but I feel we know how life in general can be. This is one of the last miniatures I worked on before taking a long break from miniatures, and after all this time it is finally complete. I started out with an old Star Wars 2009 Titanium Die-Cast Mini Vehicle Neimoidian Shuttle and modified it so it would work with one of the typical escort-style missions. I have a bunch of Vulture Droids (1:270 scale) so my plan was to make a long-range refueler for them. Anywho, you can see how much I added this ship:
Coming back this miniature evolved into something resembling a fast Neomoidian transport or smuggler ship with an extensive engine modification. After a few times of painting, stripping, repainting, then restripping she finally came out the way I wanted her (or rather, well enough for me to say "that's it!" and move on). I wanted this to have a dated look like something from the 1980s, along with the typical wear and tear.
Here is her new home with the rest of the overflow of miniatures for X-Wing. Fantasy Flight Games has an issue of making things in 1:270 scale, rather, they don't and claim it is due to some obscure reference or use the line "It's close to 1:270." Instead of going to a third party and buying one I decided to use one I had in the garage. I'm sure it's close to 1:270, haha. More to come, I have 5 different modifications and repaints that may be done by the end of this month/mid-February for you all to look at.
How's my Aurebesh?
