Offer stands to teach anyone :)

Hahaha what a ridiculously wonderful format.

@GiledPallaeon Here are my rule suggestions:

  • What geek19 implied. Make it all large ships.
  • Limit the amount of bombers by 50% of the squad value to prevent 12 B-Wing or 22 Tie/B spam.
  • Alternate initiative and remove objective play. Roll off for first player.
    • I think this is the most important one because objectives will score so little points they are worthless, and first player has a pretty big advantage because of that.
  • Play with no obstacles, or add more for extra mayhem.
  • King of the Hill - Place the station in the middle of the map. Follow CO rules, but scores 50/75 points per round.
    • This is the objective played for all games.
    • Probably biased toward ISD fleets, so perhaps have 3 stations equidistant in the middle to promote Ackbar slashes.

I don't know how viable it is, but I love king of the hill plan.

I don't know either :P

One station means you want to take GT and just punch in the face, which means Ackbar is discouraged. 3 stations makes it a lot of chaotic and promotes both strategies.

Just making **** up lol

It's the close range version of @Ardaedhel's fleet.

@Undeadguy just add one set of CC obstacles and have 2 armed stations. You control them if you have a higher command value and gives points like contested outpost.

Stations can not be damaged or repair ships or squadrons. Stations activate at the end of the command phase.

For initiative maybe roll 4 blue dice most hits win.

Fleet created with Armada Warlords

More than likely i'll be too busy with work to be able to participate. Still, i'll help my colleagues in the Rebel Alliance by suggesting this list:

Picklefest 2018!

MC-80 Home One Command Cruiser with Ackbar, Projection Experts, ECM, Leading Shots and Home One (168 points)

MC-80 Liberty Battle Cruiser with Caiken & Shollan, SW-7 and Mon Karren (115 points)

2 MC-75 Ordnance Cruisers each with Ordnance Expert, ECM and External Racks (114 points each)

2 MC-75 Armored Cruisers each with ECM, External Racks and X17 (120 points each)

4 A-Wing Squadrons (44 points)

795/800 points

I'm really torn between a full bomber fleet and a more ship based fleet...

Participants were jazzed. We had a good time. Most epic Armada games ever. Format might need a bit more of a restriction on squads to keep games flowing more quickly (150 cap? 134?), but otherwise a good time was had by all.

Garm did not win everything (those are my Rebels 3rd and 4th from the bottom playing Blockade Run lawwwwls). The only person I can blame is myself, for I have failed Garm. I don't deserve the mustache I wear in Garm's name.

(Turns on electric razor and Morrissey CD......)

On a serious note, how I heckin hate 7th fleet spam in Blockade Run big ships. How I get around? Sad face.

Now you all understand my love of 900 point fleet with 300 point fighter wing donnybrooks :D

Wow that's incredible.

Any opinions on wave 7 performance?

7th fleet isds conquering?

I know @geek19 found going up against Seventh Fleet it was pretty good when fielded on 3-4 Star Destroyers and he ended up playing Blockade Run, where getting around the sides is difficult. In terms of a 400 point game, I don't think either of us could really say.

Yup. Man, 7th fleet shines in Blockade Run. Life lesson when you see 7th fleet titles: don't choose their Blockade Run, they have 2 other objectives that will be much easier to crack.
