The convention center in Portland just put this on their website. No sign of its existence anywhere else.

I would like to see a system open closer to midwest. Chicago was just a little to far for me.

Even better, it's the SAME weekend as the anchorage regional. And at least one or two people up here were hoping to make it down to a System Open if they did one near seattle/portland. Also, at least a couple seattle guys have already bought tickets to come up to our regional from my understanding...
Yeah first world problems but pretty bad job by the people in charge. Barring Seattle getting a system open again, which don't get me started on the cluster f that was last year, the pnw only gets 3 formal or higher events this year and they now fall on consecutive weekends. Not to mention Alaska regional is the same weekend and yes Vander multiple people from Seattle have already bought tickets cause who the **** announces a system open 5 weeks out? I'm happy they gave us one but I don't see they make this mistake and attendance is gonna suffer again because of it.
Why are all the late announced system opens occurring sooner..? This seems so backwards. Initially, they announce the system opens and we have one that’s a week away after the announcement (a serious wtf), and then a good number months and months away. And since, we’ve seen at least a couple announced late that are close to a months time frame.

Edited by KdubbI missed the last System Open in Seattle because of the usual complaints.
But I'm going to Richmond and Seattle Regionals, and sandwiching in a system open in-between is making me consider whether I want to go or skip again.
