Advanced Gunnery

By themightyhedgehog, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I have a question about the Objective Advanced Gunnery.

I was second player with an ISD 1 that I chose as my objective ship.

My opponent was wiping my squadrons out until my ISD got into flak range. I then double tapped multiple squadrons with flak, and this turned the tide of the game and I pulled out a win. I was thinking though, with the way advanced gunnery works, am I able to flak multiple squads? Or was I supposed to use it like a concentrate fire and double tap only one squad?

Thanks!

Advanced Gunnery allows you to choose the same Hull Zone to attack from.

When you make a nominated anti-squadron attack, you attack all enemy fighters in Range and Arc.

Player one cannot target the same hull zone of a ship, but player 2 has no restrictions.

So, attack all in range and arc,... then attack all in range and arc.

This is another instance of my pet peeve, where a delineation of “Salvo” vs “Attack” would clarify. ?

Don't despair. When FFG drops Armada you will get to incorporate this in the new Community Rulebook. :P

EDIT: And maybe I'll get to rewrite the "must attack an engaged squadron if possible" clusterfrak. :P
