Yeah, I was refering to TLJ A-wing. But maybe that ship has sailed into hyperspace by now...

We have another wave or 2 of hope yet. The quadjumer, u-wing and striker didn't release till well after their movies and we need more resistance ships for the potentially new mechanics they introduced with crossfire formation.

I hope FFG is brewin a Trandoshian Potion, maybe some Dunelizards too

How do you figure that? As A. -wings were around, and in use by at least one rebel cell, before the battle of Yavin, we don't know how old they are.

We got the Gunboat, what other ship does this game need?

apply 2-5 GUNBOAT until itching subsides. Apply up to 12 GUNBOAT for epic itchiness.

Speaking of the A-Wing, I _just_ got around to reading the Chewbacca comic series. It seems that just after the battle of Yavin, Chewie was flying an A-Wing. His OT ability wouldn't be great on something with only 2 hull, but... maybe his TFA ability would good on relatively cheap frame...

I've got 9 already! Still need to find the last 3... most of my FLGS's are sold out...

I mean in fairness, all we see him do is crash an A-Wing... :P

Actually, to be serious, I'd also like a new ability for Chewie, to go with TLJ. My idea is this:

Chewbacca (pilot) PS9 EPT cost 47

Once per round, you may remove all stress tokens from your ship.

Rey (crew) cost 5

After performing a primary weapon attack against a ship inside your primary arc, you may receive two stress tokens to perform a primary weapon attack against a ship inside your primary arc. You may not perform another attack this round.

I really want to come up with a way to make that scene in TLJ work. I think if you could take Rage as your action, have four stress tokens, and then remove them all at the end of the round, this could work. And you'd still have to think about red moves and your arc, so it encourages better flying. It's also a pretty high cost for a ship that has less firepower than two Harpoon Missiles and is pretty easy to hit.

Anyway, I think that ability would also be really cool on an A-Wing.

Per current canon, the A-wing dates back to the end of the Clone Wars, when Kuat Systems Engineering created the R-22 Spearhead prototypes , meant to replace the Republic's Aethersprite interceptors. The Empire decided not to buy them so mass production was never started, but small scale production and sales did, and the early Rebel movements purchased a fair number, modifying them for their own use as the RZ-1 , eventually turning into the heavily stripped down and modified craft we see at Endor.

The much smaller one that features no container-belly, elevated bridge, an entirely different thruster configuration, and a new row of windows, but has the shell-like structure and shape reminiscient of the GR-75? Goes by the designation U-55 loadlifter and falls into the large ship category for X-Wing at a length of 22.63m.

Edit: Nvm, that is actually Y-Wing length, so it is a small ship, even!

those are U-55 Orbital Loadlifters . they are not related to the GR-75.

Except for their looks and role in the movie. Therefor baby-GR-75s!

maybe by Nu-Wars cannon. Lucas wrote them as having been invented after the battle of yavin, which is why they werent in the original rebel fleet

youre crazy. a GR-75 is a football field length metal husk filled with shipping containers... inspired by a whale and a cargo ship.

the U-55 from last jedi is an airport shuttle bus

Not denieing that, but can't you see it? It is like a microsized GR-75 where the container hold has been replaced with a passenger area. The kind of oval shape is very close. If we were to get this ship, I'd have to buy a few and play them in epic so my list would look like a mother whale taking a trip with her calves.

actually the Dodonna origin was created by WEG, which Lucas was not involved with. it is notable that Lucas put A-wings into the Droids cartoon, despite said cartoon being long before ANH. this discrepancy was why later EU authors had to invent the R-22 spearhead to try and make things fit.
