What was the problem with that game, anyway?

Let's put it this way. I held off on this game (which I love) because of how bad SW LCG was! My main complaint was the use of sets. Instead of choosing 50 cards or however many most CCGs use, a deck consisted of 10 sets of 6 cards each. So if you want to take Darth Vader, then you have to get the three cruddy cards that come in his set too!

In addition to Istari and Eagles, I want:

1) Easterling Enemies (like a whole bunch instead of a couple here a couple there)

2) Half Trolls from Far Harad

3) Allies of Aragorn, Eowyn, Eomer, Merry, Pippin, and Beregond's son.

4) Scouring of the Shire

5) Stand alone $40 box where you get to be Nazgul and Black Numenorians terrorizing Middle Earth.

6) More Osgiliath!

Well, you can already start forgetting about that. Apparently Caleb thought that for the Harad cycle orcs and wargs were more important than, you know, stuff specific to Harad.

Well we just had a return to Mirkwood, so I can keep my hopes up!

Really?

I don't know, I'm ashamed to admit I did not bought anything from Harad, and I saw some orc enemies among the cards from it, so I don'r really know.

There is only orc, wargs, oliphant, sand wormhole from Dune and Harad enemies as far I remember. The probably want to put some enemy with trait we know for allowing using effect that trigger on orcs.
We see plenty of trolls between first cycle and fifth cycle so I personally won't miss them.

Would like to see more victory display shenanigans! And more heroes with dual sphere effects. Hey let’s kill two birds with one stone:

Lindir

Lore Hero

Threat cost 8

2 willpower

1 attack

2 defense

3 hit points

Noldor trait

While there is an enemy worth no victory points in the victory display, Lindir gains the Tactics resource icon.

While there is a location worth no victory points in the victory display, Lindir gains the Spirit resource icon.

While there is a treachery worth no victory points in the victory display, Lindir gains the Leadership resource icon.

I was most definitely not being sarcastic. I found it genuinely disappointing that for the Harad cycle, instead of something like Turch, Thaurdir or Sahir, our main ongoing enemy was an unnamed generic Uruk chieftain. That, plus the fact that we barely saw Haradrim enemies, mainly orcs, and even a quest centered on spiders! So no, we didn't see Half trolls of far Harad, and considering their name, we would only see them if we returned there, which will probably happen in a million years.

While I liked the cycle in general and understand what the designers were trying to do, I was disappointed that we never saw Variags of Khand.

Well, there’s only so much space on the map of middle earth to use. Eventually the designers will have to revisit some areas. Here’s hoping for all of that dripping lore goodness.
