I don’t take it daily because I don’t want to develop an immunity, or God forbid, an allergy to it. But whatever works for your body is fine. The point is that ascorbic acid is TLT bomblet Nym of the vitamin world.

I don't think it's a matter of you developing immunity. IIRC, vitamin c boosts your immune system and makes your body more of a hostile environment for germs. As for developing an allergic reaction to it, I don't know. It's possible I suppose. Ever since I found out that there are people with an allergy to water, anything is possible.

I’m of the understanding that if you are continually giving your immune system assistance it will do less on its own. It’s lije taking melatonin to assist sleep. If you take it often your body will naturally produce less of it since your body is getting it elsewhere. I just take the C when I need it and when it’s not needed I let my body do it’s own thing.

Not sure if that comparison holds for vitamin c. But I'm not an immunologist. Just an old dart. My doc knows what I take atnd hasn't issued any cautions.

Have to charge the beast. Going offline.

Happy Friday, CB! Feel better!

Depending how bad the oozing crud is, I'll hit C.O.D., then Lego Star Wars, then just a movie if i'm truly thrashed.

Happy Friday! Sorry to hear you're under the weather. If I've got a cold, anything that requires sitting up or could induce motion sickness is a no-no. So I usually end up playing the original LEGO Star Wars the Complete Saga and sitting on my couch. I also like reading Calvin and Hobbes comics and maybe some Star Wars books. If you haven't read the better few of the new Marvel comics (Poe Dameron Comics, Princess Leia Comics), that could also be a good thing to do today. And of course I'll go along with the general consensus that movies are a good thing too. I find that I enjoy all movies better when I'm kinda zonked out, so I usually watch the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones whenever I get a cold.

Used to back in the day I’d whip out the old GBA and play some Pokémon.

Now I just watch Twitch when under the weather.

Hope you get well soon!
