Since original Finn can bring villain vehicles, can he use the special ability to bring a Battle Droid on his side?
Old Finn and separatist landing vehicle
No.
He brings the Separatist Landing Craft, it can then bring the "Rodger Rodger Droids".
Thanks! Shenanigans!

Wait? What?....
First you say no, then you say it works? uhhhh... what?
Since Finn-FOD allows you to include Red Villain vehicles in your deck, and Separatist Landing Craft is a Red Villain vehicle.... well, seems like it works just fine. Roll that special on SLC and pop out your Battle Droid. Shenanigans.

Finn does not allow you to "use the special" on SLC to bring a Droid into your team. The rules don't work that way, so no.
Finn allows you to play SLC. Then SLC allows you to play the Battle Droid when you resolve SLC's special.
Finn or any character that lets you bring things normally not allowed in your deck only take place during the actual deckbuilding. Once you start playing, its just another card you drew, the character that allowed it is irrelevant at this point. Finn1's first ability of being able to use weapons without restriction isnt talking about Villain tag, for instance, its referring to "Blue Only" or other such restrictions.
The fact that the landing craft is in your deck is all thats needed to use it. So yes you can get rogerdodgers in a hero deck that way.
