Have top players tried BB-8 Poe since Wave 12/13?

Right, I forgot about Barcelona. Poor @gennataos - he wasn't taken as seriously as he should have been in this thread! Looks like BB8 Poe is pretty good, too.

I really wouldn't expect to be taken seriously here. I'm nobody and I've done nothing. Europe is unlikely to be taken seriously, either. I just asked the question and I think Europe answered it, although ironically not with the build I'd have expected.

I think Rasta has it right, though, when he says to fly what you love.

Even Europe thinks VI-R2, I get many raised eyebrows for flying BB-8 Poetensity. Rasta validated my love of the build, which is crazy good.

Just lately for flying with a PS11 Fenn I’m even tempted to drop to PS8 ;)

PS 8 with PTL? With a PS 11 coordinate, could be interesting.

Ptl seems dangerous with all the strezras about, I was still thinking Intensity for the points save. Needs testing.

NERCRO'ED!

So Poe for 2.0... he has PTL baked in, and is the highest initiative in the game so he doesn't need VI. His token-stacking ability is gone now, but he might still be a ridiculously powerful ace, on par with Vader, with BB-8, if the ball-droid keeps his same ability...

Poe can still offensively token stack! I like Primed Thrusters for him, which will make him pretty squirrelly. In the spread which showed BB-8, it looks like he has 2 or three charges, no-reoccurring, but no text. I'm hoping it's a pre-maneuver reposition, but who knows...

Whatever it is, you can bet I'll be running Poe with BB-8. I may not be as married as I have been to him for highly competitive events, but I'm going to try my damnedest.

I honestly doubt it will be exactly the same but it may at least have a similar function (adding movement actions in limited scenarios). The blues the T70 has in 2nd vs the greens it had in 1st are also much better than they were, so there's also that to consider. Since he'll likely be Resistance only, this may be the only chassis he gets to ride in.

I agree with this. I mean, you've seen the map, right?

I personally think BB-8/PTL is the only Poe. Here's everywhere he can go with just a 1-bank-left dialed in:

Now, whether or not you count me as a "top player" is a different question.

This cannot be allowed to exist in 2.0. It's nuts.

Edit: add to this that Poe also has S-foils that he can close to have the option of barrel-rolling after moving too!

Don't forget the Black One Title for SLAM!

So once BB-8 gets spoiled, I'll have some serious maps to make! (Whether or not he's as crazy as in 1.0)

At least the SLAM is only once per game, though. Still, until you use it you've got a ton of potential.

Have you met my friend Mr. Supernatural Reflexes?

It already exists, and if kylo has a force ability it's going to make that map look absolutely silly.

Of course he has a force ability. https://imgur.com/a/FTHAe6m

And autothrusters!

EDIT: Probably another good reason that he isn't top I.

Supernatural + new Autothrusters + interceptor dial = Where'd he go? Where'd WHO go?

I guess it's POSSIBLE that he doesn't have a force talent upgrade slot but that seems pretty unlikely to me.

I believe the Black One SLAM is not once per game, rather it's the Ion-instead-of-Disarm that spends the non-recurring charge.

Nevermind. Reading, folks.

Nope. The slam takes the charge off.

My self-edit beat you to it, I'm afraid. Thanks, though!
