We're back @durandal343 ! The Holidays have been hectic and overwhelming but we're determined to get back on track with weekly offerings of Star Wars Armada. First match will be streaming live on YouTube 1/11/2017 at 830 pm MT.
We've also been toying with the idea of attending Regionals for the first time so this will hopefully be the first of several prep matches. Hope you enjoy!

We actually got 2 matches in last night. Since after round 3 in the fist match it was pretty obvious where it was going we decided to reset and try it again. Some great adjustments by
@SgtDurandal
and a better objective really changed things up. If you like seeing mc30s evaporate in front of Star Destroyers you'll enjoy the second one

Also great video, really enjoyed the 25m review, imo not NEARLY enough of those types of bat reps out there for armada.
@durandal343 if you want to talk Sloane any time pm me, I have put a lot of work into Imp squads and would love to pick your brain on what you want to accomplish with her, especially since @SgtDurandal mentions you are kinda umimpressed.

So normally I run the Rebels and he just has a heck of a time getting Slone to have more than a token effect (haha). I’m always afraid at the beginning of the games that’s it’s going to be terrible for me but he’s never found the right squad combo to really use her effectively. I’ll let him know though because he’s always looking for new ways to make my life difficult.

@BrobaFett I'll definitely pm you when I have some time to chat. I know there are good ways of making Sloan work but I just haven't found a way to make her fit my play style or how to change up my play style to best fit her abilities. To be fare I also haven't play tested her much either. Maybe 3 times tops?

Thanks! We both use OBS to capture and stream our matches, however we each use different editing software. I use Adobe Premiere Pro and

uses some terrible Apple software (iMovie?) cause he's a terrible person and therefore is a mindless slave to Apple and all it's products.
(this is of course an on going argument that we love to have).

So like he said it’s OBS for the streaming. I do use iMovie to do the edits and export to YouTube. For the voiceover stuff I just record the screen with QuickTime and talk while scrubbing the movie in full screen. Then I go back and cut the parts where I sound like an idiot. Well most of them anyway
The camera setup varies but I did actually install a track on the ceiling for a camera arm to roll back and forth. I’m still undecided on the usefulness of it but it’s fun!
We both use a camera mounted to the ceiling for the general overhead shots.
Where are you guys based out of? I was listening to the last stream and it seemed you were somewhere in the Midwest.

Yup.. we’re in Rapid City SD. Our Armada community here is fairly small.

Ah, I wondered when I heard you guys talk about attending the Denver Regional. I'm moving out to Denver the week before, so I'm going to make every effort I can to be there and play!

Thanks! Well if you're going to be out there in March for Regionals we'll look for you. Might need to try and organize what sounds like the tradition of meeting up for brunch before the fun starts!
