It could happen, but as of Feb 1 it's 6 weeks into shipping and it only takes 10 days to cross the Pacific.

From on the boat to in stores now usually takes 6-8 weeks. And shipping now usually lasts 1-2 weeks. Considering it went on the boat on 12/21 it could start shipping tomorrow or 3 weeks from now.

I wonder if the Status is changed to "On the Boat" when its actually on the boat, or just released to be shipped. Some of that time could be packing, transport to docks, loading,..etc. We tend to focus on the UN-loading. Just a thought.

Well I wouldn't put much faith in the "On the boat" and "Now shipping updates. The new Armada Ship releases went from "at the printer", to "On the boat" and "Now shipping", all in the span of time that Legion has been listed as "On the boat".

Kinda like the progress bar on most software? Or the Time-Left indicator. It's just there to give you hope.

Someone may have already said this, but Amazon shows Legion being released on Feb. 8.

If you look at the listing, it is being listed by a seller with that date, NOT Amazon itself. Amazon may require a release date for a listing, and by putting a date on the listing they encourage pre-orders.

I doubt that Veers and snowtroopers are going to be part of the first wave. Releasing 2 commanders for one side and only 1 for the other would hugely unbalance the game to the point that it might actually kill the game off. Given that Leia hasn't been teased yet and they want to have events at Adepticon, I think it's safe to say that they won hold the core up for that long. Chinese New Years close the factories for Febuary so Leia and Veers probably won't hit the boat till Mid March sometime.

One of my local stores says boxes coming in one the 1st of February.

they said 8 expansions...the dice and movement template 2 of those...not Veers and Snowtroopers.

Pedro is in charge of FFG shipping, we all know he gets here when he gets here and not a second before.

And they can be told they have to sit on them. I'd be mildly surprised if they wouldn't have announced the date already if they settled on the first.

Well the 1st IS a thursday and that is a release day for products.

Your store could be guessing that it will be released that Thursday because they are getting shipments that week. That doesn't mean they aren't being forced to store the product so the distributors can clear room in their warehouses.

From a business standpoint it would make more sense to not release two Star Wars products the exact same day, as they run the risk of hurting the initial sales of the big ships, or Legion. Those initial sales are often important to shareholders and license owners. If FFG doesn't announce a set day this week, then I'd be very surprised if next week is when things are being released.

Hey they surprised us with the Armada release date.

SO I know amazon means very little but some of my preorders from there just pushed to a Feb 22nd release date. My Miniature Market core preorder hasn't had any changes ever so MEH'
