So what do we make out of 3 days between articles? Release sooner that we think?

There'll be mold lines regardless (unless they're using some strange unheard of process for mass production). TI4 ships are snipped off sprues before they're packed in and we know Bones minis which are made of a similar material to that used in this game also have mold lines. It's just a matter of how easy they are to remove. On such soft material the back end of an X-acto is probably all that's needed.

I don't want to get my hopes up. It's already on track to be earlier than generally expected. So I'm trying to be happy with that!

If they preview the rest of the core set expansions, that's four articles. Two per week (Mon/Fri) would wrap up on the 29th, and then maybe a release date of the 8th?

I can't see the troopers being 2 seperate articles without a lot of padding, but there may be new rebel releases in there to take up that slack....

They've got a grenade and special weapons squads to talk about. And they can discuss rules in there, like split-fire, same as how the T-47 article addressed Pivot.

The one really burning question i have at the moment is what the facedown card in the speeder bike expansion is. It's the only one i can't give a reasonable explanation of, and (unfortunately) has the potential to be the expansion the reb players may have to buy if it's overly useful.
It's also the only card that *may* make me regret ordering 2 cores. Impact grenades, grappling hooks and comm jammers are nice and all but situational enough that i can wait to get them in future expansions.

I predict a large secondary market will pop up for this game, much like X-wing and Armada.
For tournaments definitely. For friendlies, much like Armada and X-Wing i doubt that we will be demanding all the cards locally.

So they are not going the Runewars route that players could only buy one faction, but the X-Wing/Armada route that players need to buy everything? I guess they figure with 2 factions it's not asking too much of players; and many of us would do it anyway.
Many of the upgrades are restricted to unit that it comes with- like all the AT-RT weapons, all the AT-ST weapons, the Stormtrooper heavy weapons, etc. So it's possible that the facedown card in the speeder bike expansion is limited to "74-Z Speeder Bikes Only." We won't now until it's revealed.

Two factions for now. I'd be surprised if they didn't add a Scum faction later at a minimum, if not a Resistance/First Order (depending on stuff they add in 9), or (highly doubtful) Clone Wars era armies.
Even with that much growth, people would be buying everything because it's Star Wars minis! (Yes, I am in that camp).

They have stated it will be the Runewars way, but i'm skeptical (deliberate or not). In either case only being worried about 1 card in 8 releases is a good sign, and even the trooper cards appear as if they will end up in other boxes ( the snowtroopers feature grappling hooks and impact grenades in the content art)
If you want a lot of concussion grenades however ( and i'm starting to think imp players really might if they aren't discard on use) Theres a new argument on multiple cores...
So going back on topic... with Armada getting their Wave VII release Feb 1st, I wonder if this doesn't point to Legion the week after.
I would put money on a week 2 Feb. release.
Do you guys think sellers like the warstore and miniaturemarket will get them the same week as everyone else?
They will ship them that week but you won't get it that week

I called MM when I was ordering some of the expansions other than the core, they ship it on whatever the official release date is. So if the game comes out on Feb. 10th, they'll have them before that and ship them on the day of the 10th.
Its Friday, I feel a great disturbance in the force, as if FFG are about to announce something on the News Page.

Lets up hope Armada Wave Heaven hasn’t clouded the future

Armada is far too remote for an effective demonstration.

Ouch...painfully accurate
I sense a great disturbance in the forums.... as if
millions
a large number of members are about to post in frustration... or excitement...
Edit: Oh look, an article about X-wing.
Edited by Caimheul1313I suspect the product will be released in time for Adepticon 2018 which opens on March 23 given they will be having many, many Legion events at that con.
So, March looks like a most likely timeframe.
@TurboCooler By mid-March at least.
