New web editor to play custom stories.

By gran_orco, in Mansions of Madness

Hi! There is a Spanish player (demonio69) that is creating a web editor. It is still a beta, so he needs feedback to debug it. It is only in Spanish, but his intention is to translate it with your help (there is little to translate).

You could try it here: https://mansion.multisitio.es/

The first button is the editor (fill an email and a password, and press the "crear" button, and then you can enter with the "entrar" button); the second one, "jugar escenario", is to play, where you can try how it seems (not finished yet). The red icon at the bottom right corner is a chat where you can say bugs and whatever you need.

Worth it.

That is great.

It's curious.

Ten pages signing a request for an editor, and nobody offers to translate this web program. The web creator has been working hard for a year, for free. It is almost finished, very easy to use, and now you can create and play scenarios, although not fully functional (still alpha). In Spanish, obviously. Maybe you are not interested, or people do not want to use anything other than an official app. I think that this web is a great opportunity to bring more live to this game to any user, as it is multi platform.

Did anyone offer to do this job?

If you are interested, you can discuss and report bugs here, too: https://discord.gg/wcURRkv

Possibly because Valkyrie is serving the purpose for these people? Note that it supports English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese and Polish.

You also mention this being available for a year, but this is the first I have heard of it.

I was literally just typing all that BruceLGL! Then saw that you posted before I could finish typing.

I was interested in looking just to see how this worked, but it is solid spanish and not wanting to sign up for an account was a deterrent as well

So, why so many people is requesting for an editor if they already have one?

My humble opinion is that this editor is great. Valkyrie, too. But It is just other option, and seems easier to use (I've heard that a lot of people isn't using Valkyrie for its "complexity") . He has been programming it for a year. This is the first you have heard of it because it is online for a month. If Valkyrie supports those languages is because someone offered his help to translate it. The programmer can't do It himself.

More editors, more options, more fun.

Exactly, and that's the reason why he needs help to translate it.

The account is needed to save your scenario while you edit it. It is a web editor! How could you publish your story if not? I suppose that you couldn't do it otherwise. Anyway, I used a temporary account. I do not see any problem with it. But I understand your reasons, too.

Thank you for taking a look.

A demo mode which doesn't need an account could go a long way. Also how would one go about translating or otherwise contributing? Is the source/data available? I'm personally of the opinion that effort focused in the one place could make one better product, but this is obviously not an impartial position.

I don't know. Maybe you can contact him in the link https://discord.gg/wcURRkv

When I helped with the Imperial Assault campaign tracker's translation, I sent an email to the designer, and I received a list of words.

I think that the web only needs to translate the words of the menu, the interface and some elements of the game (items, Monsters...).
