More of an Ogre really - hence the 40K name.

But thanks for making me feel welcome.

Hmm, shouldn’t have posted.

But in response to others.

For me I feel the quality and versatility of miniatures is paramount to locking in my continued custom. I will not buy miniatures just to get an upgrade card (battlefront 2)

I spend a lot of time painting miniatures and I want squads that don’t look the same.

I have pre-ordered the game based on the quality I have initially seen. I am invested so I want to see the high standard continue.

At a glance, the snow troopers seem ok but the Veers miniature is weak. The pose could be better, the holster and pistol are massive and his proportions seem off (stunty).

The concept of Veers speaks more than Vader, so I want him.

I have invested in this game and I want to continue to do so. Is it wrong of me to state an opinion in hopefully a non superior way

Almost as tall as Vader....

I mentioned this upthread, the West End Games sculpt comes preety close to the movie’s Officer Armour you have pictured.

Julian Glover, the actor who plays Major General Maximilian Veers is 6’ 2” in real life.

He also played the recurring role of Grand Master Pycelle on over 30 episodes of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, he was the Greek villain Aristotle Kristatos in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only (1981), and Walter Donavan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the film version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), he provided the voice of the giant spider Aragog.

He was awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2013 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to drama. (Ironiclaly, the same rank of James Bond.)

For the character, I was the West End Games editor that approved his first name Maximillian.

So while all our opinions are equally valid , I show respect for a man who has gone up against Han Solo, James Bond, Indiana Jones, Jon Snow, and Harry Potter and then get’s a Order of the British Empire from the Queen for his troubles.

Don't take it personally. There have been a bunch of people who seem to pop in and start topics just to say they don't like the game. It's getting old. My advice is be a community member. Reply to other posts, tell us what you like in addition to what you dislike and contribute good content. We have seen a bunch of people drop in, spread a bunch of negativity and not contribute to the community in any way. This forum does not have to be like Reddit. We have a chance to build something cool as a group. We can avoid being seen as the latest outlet for nerd rage.

What Devin said. We are all Star Wars fans, collectors and hobbyists here, let’s try to be more inclusive, welcoming of each other’s options and grow the hobby.

Were not Trekkies after all.

?

The design is quite good given the original source. Actually I think FFG is designing the mins in quite a mature and stylised way still faithful to the source.

And conversions are always an option... If you don't like that arm in that position cut, glue and rearrange with green stuff till you get the pose you like and bonus points for a more unique miniature.

To the original poster...you seem genuine, dont apologise for posting.

It was unfortunate that you posted very closely behind a very obvious 'troll' who was being ridiculously silly about citisising everything about the Legion figures and people(me included) thought that ou might be the same person coming back to start another thread :)

Whats all this BF 2 hate? I have the game, I’ve invested no money into it but i still have lots of the good stuff. Its not like I play a lot, I play maybe 2-3 hours a week

....maybe a Rommel position with a commanding aire would make it even more engaging.....just want an amazing Veers to command legion of STORMIES!....vielen dank

It is just the way they designed the multiplayer to be based around the loot box system. It is pretty grindy (at launch) for a 60 dollar game compared to other games of similar concept.

I miss when games actually let you use whatever you wanted at the start, and we played them for hours and hours because they were fun--not because we were chasing the next unlock.

You know. Like the original Battlefront and Battlefront II.

You mean the good old days were the campaign was the main focus and multiplayer was a sweet bonus? Those days were great.
