Can someone explain: Maul + TLT & Ghost Title Interaction

By Tupacca, in X-Wing

Hi All,

Could someone please explain how Maul interacts with TLT and the ghost double tap title?

Thanks!

To trigger the hit condition for removing a stress, you only need one TLT stack to hit. So if your first attack hits, you basically get a free refill on your next TLT attack. As long as you are not stressed from the first attack, you can use it again for the second attack

OK, so for each TLT use, you can do either:

Reroll on first attack, stressed so no reroll on second attack, if either or both attacks hit, clear one stress.

OR

No reroll on first attack, reroll on second attack, either or both hit, remove 1 stress.

(If you also include Ezra crew, you can then mod an eye to crit for each attack using option 1. It's a mean combo on a TLT ghost, it's adding a huge amount of accuracy without needing accuracy corrector)

Assuming you're unstressed to start with, and use Maul at all.

Why do you get the free re-roll?

Maul, if you’ve hit on the first attack, you can safely receive one stress to re-roll a single die before the full TLT attack is done

Hey thanks,

So could you do the following:

During the first shot of the first TLT attack, stress yourself to reroll one die, hit, then remove stress. Then, on the second shot of the first attack, do the same again, and then again during the end phase double tap?

Ah I see, thanks

So if you know you've hit first time, you dont need to worry about stressing yourself once during the next attack?

Yup

No. Reread the timing chart in the FAQ, it states clearly that all “after attack” effects happen after both TLT attacks have been completed. You can only ever trigger Maul on one of your two TLT-attacks.

Ah, got it.

And in the case of ghost with Ezra phantom 1 docked, you can do this both in combat phase and again in end phase (assuming you end the combat phase unstressed)
