I sincerely apologise if this has already been asked, but the interactions between these two conditions confuses me! Let's say a ship has both the Harpooned! and I'll Show You the Dark Side conditions on it. If, in a following attack, it suffers an uncancelled CRIT, would both conditions trigger (Harpooned! deals 1 damage to ships in range 1, discard the condition to give 1 face-down card, then I'll Show You the Dark Side gives the face-up card instead of suffering the effects of a CRIT result) or would just I'll Show You the Dark Side ?

Both. Neither condition "uses up" the crit in any way.

Biggest mistake I see, which I believe comes from mentally abbreviating what the card does (it really is too long to read), is resolving Harpooned! off a critical hit result after dealing damage. Which is 100% incorrect.

If you have I'll Show You The Dark Side assigned to you and you have Harpooned! assigned to you AND you defend against a primary weapon* attack that leaves at least one uncancelled critical hit result in the compare dice results step to be suffered, the correct resolution is to resolve Harpooned! once the attack has been determined to hit (in this case). To do that you start by forcing every other ship at Range 1 to suffer 1 damage. Then you discard the Harpooned! condition card and receive 1 facedown Damage card (you receive the card, you are dealt the card - shields cannot help you here). Now you go back to the dice pool and suffer all uncancelled damage, hits followed by critical hits. When you go to suffer the first critical hit you eat the faceup damage card assigned to I'll Show You The Dark Side rather than dealing one from the deck.

Comically enough, through this combination of cards, you could kill any 2 hulled ship by setting off the Harpooned! condition card in conjunction with I'll Show You The Dark Side regardless of how many shield tokens it has... You could even kill a B-Wing having only taken 2 shields: Harpoon to hit for 1 damage (remove a shield), Harpoon again to hit for 1 damage (remove a shield), and set off both Harpooned! conditions with 1 uncancelled critical hit that also triggers I'll Show You The Dark Side. As comical as this is I'm forced to point out that Harpoon Missiles are overpowered (as you don't have to spend your Target Lock to perform the attack) and likely two Harpoon missiles will strip all the B-Wing's shields if not kill it outright anyway...but it is possible... Brain food?

*I chose to use an example from a primary weapon attack so as not to open my example up to the timing argument that has popped up with weapons that "Then cancel all dice results." (TLT, Ion Cannon, Ion Turret, etc.). Which, I firmly believe comes down to who has initiative. Attacker has the card text after an attack hits to resolve for TLT, defender has the Harpooned! card text to resolve after an attack hits ("When you are hit by an attack [...]"). So if the attacker has initiative his/her ability to "Then cancel all dice results." resolves first, preventing Harpooned! from resolving as there are no uncancelled dice at all. If the defender has initiative his/her ability to check for uncancelled critical hit results resolves before the attacker cancels all dice results, and therefore (if there is a critical hit result showing) Harpooned! can be triggered by a TLT or similar weapon. But, as there is no official ruling and quoting how to resolve abilities that trigger at the same time (the attack hits being the trigger here) from the FAQ doesn't seem to convince people anymore: check with your local TO/Marshal/Judge before tabling a list that relies on this interpretation.

Sry to change the subject a little but what about Vader crew and harpoon? Does it have the same timing as Vader and ISYTDS in that Vader does not trigger it? I'm guessing so but in the event Vader destroys a ship that has harpoon condition it would still make every ship at range 1 suffer a damage?

Vader will not cause Harpooned!'s crit effect to trigger as it is not a critical icon but a critical icon. He will trigger ISYTDS because that specifically triggers off of any critical damage, such as Vader's critical damage or possibly debris. If you destroy a ship with Vader, Harpooned! will trigger and deal everyone at range 1 a damage.

I thought Vader does not trigger ISYTDS because it is after an attack. Kylo triggers during an attack

COrrect. Kylo only triggers from ciritcal damage taken during an attack.

Vader doesn't trigger him (not during an attack) nor, for instance, does Advanced HOming Missile (dealing a face-up damage card is not dealing critical damage).

Np their interaction was a point of clarification when Kylo came out. It would be nice if Vader worked with either Kylo or harpoons lol
