Past Lives Talent

Hey guys, I am in a fantasy setting (and my DM checks in here) and I am starting a talent for my character to have the benefit of past life memory

What should I do for a level 2-5 version of the talent

What are you hoping to accomplish with the talent? You might gain insight from past lives, upgrading a Knowledge roll or reducing the difficulty of a skill check once per session.

This idea could go so many ways, from loose narrative abilities about influencing the story or knowing some important fact through to solid mechanical effects that directly influence dice pools. Some brainstorming ideas:

Once per session treat ranks in one non career skill the same as ranks in one career skill linked to the same characteristic (T3)

Once per session introduce a fact into the story as though spending a Story Point (t3)

May remove one setback from all Knowledge checks (t3-t4 depending on number of knowledge skills)

All knowledge skills become career skills (t2-3 depending on number of knowledge skills)

Once per session gain two Boost dice to a single skill check (t2)

Once per session may reduce the difficulty of a rarity check to find an item for purchase by 1 (t3)

Choose one out of career skill, it is now a career skill (t1)

Remove two setback from all checks to locate business, people or historical sites. Halve the time to find such things. (T3)

One of the players in my group is thinking of playing a Starfinder-inspired "Mystic" with akashic memory. This topic interests me greatly since I haven't had a chance to come up with some talents for it yet. Richardbuxton's suggestions are definitely good ones. I'd tend away from any permanent gains toward the "once per session" or "once per encounter" insights gleaned from the Akashic record. It's like borrowing a book to look something up, not adding it to your personal library.

I'm torn between such taps into the Akashic record being once per session or at the expense of a story point, so more frequent access is possible, but the player is pushing the party's collective luck.
