Fleshing out an idea and need some clarification on a Pacifistic Minion

By ElderKoala, in Genesys

So, the Genesys bug has me by its wonderful easy, yet complex little hands and I've convinced my group to give it a go.

Introductory Play:

(This is going to be Sci-Fi / Weird War / Fantasy exploration and anti-the big McGuffin). Depending on what my players roll, they're going to be introduced to a very small town on the outskirts of the midwest. Earlier in the day, rumors come down from one of the more "eccentric" locals that one of his Carrots ran through his yard screaming for everyone to run and that everyone was going to die. Later in that day, the town goes silent and the players get sent to go see what's going on or are possibly from said town.

So, to get them warmed up, they're going to meet a twist on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Except they're bunnies. They're Rabid. And they're armed to the teeth with makeshift agriculture sharp objects.

That part is easy enough. I have the Melee Bunny, the Ranged Bunny and the mini-boss Bunny on Steroids. What I'm trying to wrap my head around is a Rabbit who is awful at combat, will not fight, will run when confronted, but whirls the crowd up around him into a Beserker frenzy. Do I need to put a talent or ability in his stat block for Pacifism? Or can I just narrate it in his block? I checked the 2.5 Expanded PDF for talents but I was pretty sure "Paficism" would be wayyyy too complicated to be a talent. Then I thought "Ability"? But again, that might be too 'narrative' to be worded into an Ability. Thoughts? Thanks!

Inspiring Rhetoric/Scathing Tirade stand out to me as the talents you might want them to have. Other than that? Just make stuff up. NPCs don't have to follow PC rules.

This is Genesys, you get to do whatever you want! Don’t even write stats for this bunny, just a couple of motivations and if you want a really strong ability for combat then Field Commander should do the trick. The rest is just you giving it a good old narration

Awesome idea by the way. My kids are playing sentient rabbit magic users, this is definitely going on my list of adventures for them!

I can't take all the credit. There's a mildly successful MMO out there called Wildstar. One quest / mission, you had to save organic sentient fruits and veggies from evil overlords and Space Rabbits are a playable hero race. So I just turned that concept on its head. Rabbits are evil and enslaving the organic fruits and veggies as their brain trust. The Warrbits are REALLLLLLLY dumb and VERY angry. But as it turns out, the fruits and veggies were just the opposite. Charismatic and very smart, but very timid.

So, the Warrbits are going to be my Kobolds / Orcs for the campaign and watch my players seriously try to not have aneurysms as they try to figure out why they're talking to Albert Einstein-level genius Turnips. And if need be, they'll be a space faring race. Because.. you know.. who doesn't dream of a first encounter being the Rabbit version of Rabid Klingons? And then they have to figure out the McGuffin.. who created the Warrbits and the veggies?! DUN DUN DUNNNN!

(Oh, and Yes. The veggies are going to be a playable race in the campaign.)
