Awesome match Troy! I'm a little surprised you chose Hyperspace Assault with Demo in the game but your flying really mitigated the damage from him. It also helped that he deployed facing away from the battle which didn't seem to work very well.

Those are some tricked out mc30s! My list last night was pretty similar but I traded the upgrades on the mc30s for squads. Do you think you would have been OK against a more formidable squad ball with the squads you took? Also, did you ever use the RBDs on the mc30s? I've found that by the time I can use them the ship is already dead since they have so little hull. I'm sure the XI7s were useful but how did the External Racks do? You like it better than the APTs?

One thing I have thought about is trading out a transport in my fleet for the 2 titles on 2 of the mc30s. I think it really helps their survivability. I like having the 5 activations though so maybe I'd have to sacrifice some squads... tough decisions.

Great game though. Your strategy seems much more well thought out than mine ever is.

I've used this fighter group against larger ones, it dies. But it takes long enough to keep them away from the fast frigates for the majority of the match.

Honestly, I'm not sure about the RBD. In the two matches I've played with them, I have yet to use them (I forgot to the first one and the 30 died. This match, I didn't take any hull damage). My thought is to get rid of them and upgrade a YT to Han. I need one more test though. On the surface, one hull can make all the difference, if you can use RBD before you die. It's a fine line.

Racks are my favorite. I like to add them to the weakest shot to migrate braces. But 5 black and two blue with max 1 redirect can be crazy. Like 9-11 damage

I felt the other two were better for him, and I could outrun demo, or deny it a good position

Yeah, I was impressed with how you mitigated the effect of Demo... plus the interesting drop from your opponent.

That was lucky. He is still pretty new, so... That said, I've only been playing for 7 months.

I see what he was thinking, but it was not well thought out. I tend to be the one usually making these mistakes, this time I was alert.

hahaha.. yup. I win the game for Jarod most of the time. And vice versa. Mitigating mistakes seems to be key.

Warping Demo in there clearly was a rookie mistake.

Did you manage to use RBDs effectively? With only 4 hulls I'm reluctant to place them on an MC30.

There worth is questionable, but in 3 of my last 5 games they have saved 1 or 2 ships from death (usually squad plinking or ramming). Use them as soon as take any damage, do not wait for the maximum benefit.
