Here's a fair question for one of the new cards. Jyn Erso:
The part I want to focus on is "If that ship has an objective token". Now, there's only a few objectives that both give ships objective tokens and make Victory Tokens do things: Capture the VIP (pick up the token and carry it around until the end of the game), Blockade Run (2nd player's ships start with one each, so not much good for planning a list), and Hyperlane Raid (1st player's ships start with one each). But... there's something else:
Intel Sweep gives us a victory token that does something (whoever has more gets a 75 point bonus prize). "But wait!" I hear you say, "The ship needs to have an objective token, and there's no objective token, just an objective ship!"
QuoteWhen a ship is chosen as an objective ship, indicate this by placing an objective token next to its ship card.
Does this mean the ship has an objective token? If no, then it also means that ships don't have any defense tokens either:
QuoteShips and unique squadrons gain the defense tokens indicated on their ship and squadron cards during setup and place them next to their corresponding cards.
So Jyn should work with Intel Sweep as well. Unfortunately she does "nothing" with the following objectives (nothing in the sense that even though she would give a Victory Token, they don't have a value for the end of the game):
Most Wanted
Advanced Gunnery
Opening Salvo
