Help me tune this triple poon build for upcoming tourney

By Gibbilo, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi All, here is the build I was thinking about running and would appreciate your input for tuning up this build:

Version 1, 99 points

Vader: Adaptability, TIE/x1, EU, ATC, Harpoon missiles

QD: Adaptability, FCS, AO, SOT, Guidance chips, Harpoon missiles

Duchess: VI, AA

Version 2, 99 points

Vader: VI, TIE/x1, EU, ATC, Harpoon missiles

Kestal: VI, Auoblaster turret, Harpoon missiles, GC

Tomax: Crackshot, EM, Harpoon missiles, GC

Version 3, 100 points

Vader: VI, TIE/x1, EU, ATC, Ion pulse missiles

QD: VI, FCS, PT, SOT, LWF, Harpoon missiles

OL: AScTS, AO

My goals when making this build:

*Triple Ace build with double or triple poons desired (triple is better if possible).

*My local meta/store champ has a fair amount of people flying PS10 Rey or Miranda with engine upgrade/Slam.

Part of the reason I came up with this is because I got sick and tired of the range 3 falcon damage kite, with EU to dodge arc or simply fly away. I would like as many aces at PS 10 as possible and I wanted missiles to light them up. Poons are an obv choice and are also useful if facing swarmier builds by chance. Also, I picked Vader with EU so I had at least one ace able to keep up with the falcon or Miranda fly away crap.

Thanks!!

Just run Palp w/ PS 11 QD and Vader if you wanna run Imperial high PS alpha.

Hmmm I was really hoping for something cooler than that but I guess maybe that is the best way...

Guy is currently running another option with a deadeye Rho. If I wasn't going to run palp, i'd consider the deadeye rho, it's a 1-1 swap for points I think,

You will have to fly Vader extremely well, as he will not have EU, but here is the best I can put together for an alpha strike with two aces and three sets of harpoons:

(99)

•Darth Vader (35) - TIE Advanced
Veteran Instincts (1), Harpoon Missiles (4), TIE/x1 (0), Guidance Chips (0), Advanced Targeting Computer (5)

•"Quickdraw" (40) - TIE/SF Fighter
Veteran Instincts (1), Fire Control System (2), Harpoon Missiles (4), Advanced Optics (2), Special Ops Training (0), Lightweight Frame (2)

Nu Squadron Veteran (24) - Alpha-class Star Wing
Harpoon Missiles (4), OS-1 Arsenal Loadout (2), Long-Range Scanners (0)

Nice that's an interesting take on getting the triple in there. Probably the best out of everything I've come up with.

As for double do you really think double ace poon + palp shuttle is the way to go? Otherwise something else I've thought of is:

Vader: Adaptability, TIE/x1, EU, ATC, Harpoon missiles

QD: Adaptability, FCS, PT, SOT, GC, Harpoon missiles

Pure Sabacc: Lone Wolf, AA, LWF

Could potentially shift LWF to QD over pure Sabacc but it seemed more worthwhile on him.

What about this:

Vader

VI

Title

ATC

EU

Harpoons

Kestal

Deadeye

LWF

Synced Turret

Harpoons

Baron of the Empire

PTL

Title

Harpoons

GC

You have harpoons a plenty. Vader will continue to be strong in perpetuity. Kestal with Deadeye can fire the Harpoons, spend the focus to cancel the opponents modifiable results, etc etc, then her with Deadeye Synced Turret is really strong in the rest of the game.

The Baron is not the strongest late game, but, he can be a very frustrating buzzing bee, with lots of movement capacity, and a rather strong initial Harpoon hit.
