Fillable & Savable Character Sheet by Gitzman - v1.30 New Features

By Gitzman, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hey dudes,

I just finished another good sized update for the dynamic character sheet.

Features:

  • Dynamic PDF character sheet which can be filled out, printed and saved from Adobe Reader. (you do not need Acrobat, or Acrobat Pro to save this PDF, i've extended the functionality to reader)
  • Drop down menus for all the weapons and armour in the rulebook which prepopulate their statistics on your character sheet.
  • Drop down menus for all Advanced Skills in the rule book which prepopulate the dependent characterisitc on your character sheet.
  • Screen only tracking items for managing stress, fatigue and fortune for those who want to play on screen. (they will not show up when printed per users request)
  • NEW FEATURE: Stress and Fatigue meters now dynamically change the color of your characteristics when they are stressed, fatigued, unconcious, passed out, etc. when using the screen only trackers. (Blue = Normal, Red = Stressed, Grey = Passed Out)
  • NEW FEATURE: Tracking meter for your current Fortune Points
  • Two sided 8.5x5.5 for easy double sided printing.

Change Log: v1.30 - 03/03/2010

  • Adjusted the number of stress and fatigue check boxes to better match up the possible related characteristic values (max 15 now, which would accept a characteristic as high as 7)
  • Stress and Fatigue trackers now are colored appropriatly
  • When using the Stress and Fatigue tracker, your characteristics will dynamically change color when they become strained or when your character gains enough stress or fatigue to turn you unconcious.

Change Log: v1.21 - 02/24/2010

  • Weapon and Armour drop down menus will now automatically populate data for their damage, range, speical qualities, soak, etc when selected. All items in the warhammer rulebook are available. Users can also add/modify the values once entered for special magic items if needed.
  • Advanced Skills drop down menus also have the depended characteristics automatically populated in the fields next to them. All advanced skills in the rulebook have been entered.
  • The tabbing order has been re-adjusted as a few of the fields were out of wack.
  • Reduced the file size from 5.5 meg to 3.5 meg.

Change Log: v1.01 - 02/23/2010

  • Stress and Fatigue check boxes are now 'Screen Only' and will not show up in print for those who would like to continue to use the token system.
  • Fortune Point check boxes are now 'Screen Only' and will not show up in print for those who would like to continue to use the token system.

Original Document: v1.0 - 02/22/2010

  • All the fields are nicely organized and sized well.
  • The tabbing order is set.
  • The form has been set so you can save it in Adobe Reader.
  • The document size is 8.5 in wide by 5.5 in tall and can be printed double sided with little difficulty.
  • Some field inteligence is there so numerical fields can only have numbers entered and you can only fill content within the visible areas of each line so there will be no hidden overflow text.
  • Where posisble i added drop down selection fields for weapons, armour, etc.

Very nice sir! I've been waiting for something like this for a while. Thank you.

Very nice work. Thank-you for that!

Dudes,

I just posted an updated file: v1.31 where the tabbing order has been revised (i had mucked it up in the last release)

Dudes,

Yes use the same links above that say v1.30. I could not edit the post to adjust them so i just replaced the v1.30 file with the v1.31 file on the server and used the same name.

You can be sure you have the most up to date version by looking at the top of the character sheet, it shows the version number and the date it was last modified. it should read: v1.31 - 03/04/2010 (today)

As always, let me know if you have any features you'd like added and i'll see what i can do.

In the interests of table space, our group is looking into having customisbale talent sockets on the character sheet rather than using the character sheet (which other than for the talent sockets is pretty pointless during actual play and only needed during levelling, inbetween sessions).

Any chance of having some talent sockets added to the side of this sheet (even if just optionally, for those who want them ,like me!), with a down to populate each type of socket, ready for printing?

P,

That was actually something i've been looking into. My problem right now is getting enough space to give the descriptions for which talents have been taken. Perhaps there is a way to expand the character sheet on the side and make room by laying it out in landscape format rather than portrait. We could have a down menu to which talent you are using and then the description text for what it does populates next to it.

If i read your post correctly you are planning to not use your career sheet during play and instead exclusivly use your character sheet (which makes sense).

The only drawback i see right now is the increase in size for the character sheet. It would no longer fit in the boxes without a 3rd fold.

P.S. We just finished Eye for an Eye! Great roof battle, almost lost the whole party.
