Kylo and X-7s

How does this look? should I change the defenders for gunboats? Kylo for blackout? ideas?

You're at 102 points, so you'll need to cut points somewhere. Probably the title off Kylo and you'd fit fine. The 2 defenders make for a pretty beefy joust, great blockers, and can help keep some ships from maneuvering in tight and keep some of the pressure off kylo. Mangler gunboats would be a bit cheaper, allowing you to keep all the bells and whistles on kylo, but I think the defenders do better on their own if kylo goes down early.

You're actually at 100 points, so you're fine. That Kylo build is 44 points, but I don't think its the 'best' build. This would be better:

Kylo with VI, title, FCS, advanced optics & autothrusters = 44

2 X-7 Deltas = 56

2 Mangler gunboats would be more effective in terms of initial damage and getting Kylo's ability to 'proc'. However, Deltas are better at fighting turrets and playing the 'long game' (since they are ultimately tankier and can keep in the fight easier). So which one to take as wingmen for Kylo comes down to preference/playstyle, really.

Wouldnt PTL and primed thrusters work together well on Kylo? PS9 isnt enough?

I came up with this too. I reckon it has legs.

It would, but I wouldn't have the points for it

I thought about Nus, but avoiding 'Poons is easier with 3dice plus evade and focus

I agree with FCS/Adv. Optics on a VI Kylo, otherwise he hits like a wet noodle.

Having come back from Toronto Regionals, where I flew a Delta X-7 (different list, but still), I have to say no to the delta in the current meta. Its great against a lot of things, but its absolutely terrible against gunboats! I didn't realize how bad it was until I flew a couple games against gunboats...at PS 1, about all it can do is get a shot in the first turn, then maybe a block, then its useless for the rest of the game...
