Are the Holes in Extended Range Rulers for Epic Corvette Ships Always Smaller than the Plastic Connectors?

By railwayman001, in X-Wing Painting and Modification

I recently got my first Huge "Epic" ships in the mail, and noticed a problem with the range ruler included in the Tantive IV Expansion Pack. The holes in the two segments for the range ruler included with this pack turn out to be smaller than the width of the connectors. I can't have them fitted into the ruler properly, and so I had to take a picture of the segments and connectors to show the problem to see if I could get segments with larger holes. Nevertheless, if this cannot take place, I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on how to make the holes bigger OR where I might be able to buy a range ruler made of acrylic that can be the size of the assembled rulers included in these packs and preferably of a single segment. (By the way, I'd upload my photograph to show this problem, but these forums don't allow photos that are 1920x1080 pixels or higher).

I just got the Tantive 2 days ago and also noticed that the holes seemed too small. Luckily I purchased an acrylic range ruler so I do not need the standard cardboard one.

I picked up a Huge Ship range ruler from Curled Paw Creatives on Etsy. It's 2 pieces with magnets to connect them together. I haven't seen any Huge Ship range rulers as 1 piece but they may exist, I prefer the two pieces so I can more easily store the range ruler when I'm not using it.

One of the people in my local group also modified his cardboard Huge Ship range ruler by gluing magnets into the holes where the plastic bits go, it accomplishes the same thing as the acrylic version for a little bit cheaper.

Okay, I see the huge ship range ruler on Curled Paw Creatives' Etsy page, and it says you must specify what color you want. In the case for the Tantive IV pack I guess it would have to be dark red. That's the Rebel Alliance/Light Side laser fire color, right? And Pooleman, I must point out that you never specified where you purchased your acrylic range ruler from. I need to know so that way I can weigh my options as to which product I might purchase. See, I want to consider purchasing either product since it doesn't look like FFG's gonna send me another cardboard range ruler without the components being in the card stock sheet with the other tokens they were with.
