Also, I just started looking at Toronto regional this week. Gonna watch round 5 shortly since I have flown a nearly identical Wedge/Cracken/Nym list (my wedge is slightly different) that I like.

Seeing that Wedge/Cracken/Nym take on Nymiranda should be good for me there... and the Wedge/Cracken/Nym is really good at dealing with wookies.

Huh. Arc Caster is Scum/Rebel only. I didn't notice because the squad builder I used allowed it. I don't think I would bring an Arc Caster to Regionals anyways. Too easy to hit yourself.

I picked up on it being Scum/Rebel only when I tried to use it on a gunboat. When my squad builder didn't have it as an option, I searched out the card.

I was thinking of flying a Quickdraw and 3 Nu's list but I was planning on doing it without the aid of Harpoon. I think I may need to pick up that 2nd set of Guns For Hire I was debating on.

Told you, not sure nym as bad as utah made it look.

On A side note. The head judge of the regional at the ffg event center has ruled that genius and trajectory simulator will not work. This is not an offica ffg stance just the way he will be ruling the event..... makes you wonder if something is coming

Think I'll have the Quickdraw + 3 Nu's list. I'm debating between that and the Wedge/Cracken/Nym list that I ran last time I was there. Heavily leaning towards the imperial list because I don't like how much Nym is out there and I'd rather be the solution to that problem and not the cause..

The new FAQ dropped and is in IMMEDIATE effect. Genius + Trajectory is officially dead (not allowed to work in Xwing) and that ruling apparently was followed in a regional this past weekend that left the meta wide open.

AND when I say wide, I mean WIDE open... a FIRESPRAY was in the championship winning list. (Scum Boba with Asajj).

This is in my local area, so you might see my very-casual self there. Playing against me is bound to be entertaining, as I end up flying someone off the board far more frequently than one should expect.

I would be willing to volunteer to run one once I'm moved, so February is out of the question for me, for that. And then there is the issue of I simply don't know ALL the FAQ stuff that I would like to.

On a side note... Valencia Regionals (Spain) from last weekend. Under the old rules (allowing Genius + Trajectory) on a Nymiranda build... it was taken down by three Delta Squad Tie/D's:

Delta + Tie/D, Twin Mk II, and Ion Cannon x2 and Delta + Tie/D, Twin Mk II, and Tractor Beam.

On the alpha strike, Nym launches a Proton Bomb that hits all three deltas and then the attacks by Nym and Miranda kill one of the Ion delta's before it ever shoots. BUT then Nym gets lit-up by tractor, primary, then ion primary and is left with two hull after the first round of attacks. The Nymiranda player than makes some bad decisions (IMO) and neither of the remaining two delta's get finished off. Miranda can't get out of range of arc with tractor and ion continuing to hit her and can't get shields back fast enough to overcome three damage dealing attacks with zero agility from tractor.

Your the to your word is law, you just have to make stuff up and be able to convince everyone your right.

Or option 2 if it looks like design intended for it to do x but the card says do y, always go with y. Ffg has gotten on a track record lately of needing a faq to make cards do something other then they say.

I saw an interesting list from Valencia regional in Spain:

Miranda w/ TLT, Sabine, Bomblets, and LRS

Crimson Leader w/ Traj Sim, Thermals, Ordnance Silos, and Deflective Plating

Ezra in a Sheathipede w/ Trick Shot, Gunner, and R3-A2

Guy took it all the way to the final and ended up against the Nymiranda... in the end it came down to Miranda vs Miranda and both died simultaneously... so they go to final salvo and he loses despite throwing one more red die than Nymiranda. Crazy match... the guy was solid with two new wave 12/13 pilots together that I'm not sure a lot of people have thought about.

The "RATTLED" Condition that Crimson Leader throws was an extra bonus when you take into account that all the stress that is being thrown at his opponent keeps him close as he does not have actions to boost, barrel roll, or slam away from bombs.

I will be there, probably going to show up a bit early too if anyone else is able. If not then I shall be sitting there ready to go when you arrive.
