The Toys That Made Us - Star Wars

By Celestial Lizards, in X-Wing

In the Star Wars episode of this Netflix series, in the shots interviewing Mark Bellomo, you can see an X-Wing Gozanti and TIE Interceptor on the desk behind him. This makes me so proud that this game is played (or at least acknowledged) by one of the greatest toy enthusiasts in the 21st century.

Just wanted to let you people know.

SUCH a great series, too; hit me right in the nostalgia. It's incredible to hear all those old designers and businesspeople talk about how the deals came together, sometimes just by the skin of their teeth.

As much as I loved the SW (all of them, really) episode, I think He-Man was my favorite.

Also, they recently posted on their Facebook page some cutting room floor bits about an action figure tied into the old DROIDS cartoon.

It's a good watch. It was especially cool to see those short-lived 28mm-scale(-ish?) Star Wars playsets again. For me, those were a stepping stone to playing tabletop RPGs with miniatures.
