hey all,
i've been working the last couple weeks with finding a poe list that i feel comfortable with in the current meta. i think he's been discussed to death in these forums, and my build is really no different then what people, for the most part, have seemed to agree on. in my opinion, he's the strongest ace in the meta currently (but i am biased :D):
Poe Dameron (PS9) — T-70 X-Wing
Veteran Instincts
BB-8
Advanced Optics
Autothrusters
Black One
Ship Total: 41
arc dodger and TL stripper. advanced focus has really solidified this list in my mind as the best bang for your buck. i tried for awhile to pair him up with other t-65s or t70s (snap, wedge, wes, jess, etc), and one of the issues that i'm sure everyone has run into is how fragile these ships can be.
Lowhhrick — Auzituck Gunship
Predator
C-3PO
Tactician
Ship Total: 36
obviously low is going to be able to help out on the defensive end. early on i was running him with maul/ezra, which is a very potent offensive combination. i would guess that the mode number of maul re-rolls i would use in that build was 1, such that even if i would miss i could still reinforce the next round. i really wanted c-3 in the build to be able to guarantee my evades, so i swapped out maul for him. i really wanted to maintain an offensive output so i started putting predator on in lieu of draw/selflessness. tactician naturally came in due to the size of the front arc
for the last ship i tried for a very long time to work in a ps11 fenn. in the end it just wasn't having the impact on the board i wanted.
Ezra Bridger (Sheathipede) — Sheathipede-class Shuttle 17
Rage
Tactician
R3-A2
Ship Total: 22
Total: 99
stressbot ezra has always performed well for me. with this 2 tac/r3 build, your opponents options get widdled down very quickly. theres a number of options depending on the way the game plays out. without gunner, there will be times when ezra does not have a stress and can coordinate a focus on low, which is crazy good. rage can be popped on the first encounter to ensure the defensive eyeballs are up on the first salvo, and/or when your expecting a r1 attack to focus/reroll all of reds. i like this better than just giving up on his red dice entirely with the gunner route. this fenn can actually punch through a bit of damage.
what i like about the list is both the synergies that exist between the ships as well as how well they perform on their own. there a lot of sustainability in terms of evades that any one ship can put up while simultaneously negating opponents tokens via stress and the black one title.
there are a few things i would still like to have. i think a 2 point bid is warranted given you really want to get to be able to use the title on TLs that turn. draw/selflessness is something i still miss, but in general i want he offensive output as high as possible given the list doesn't have a big alpha strike. it can be a real headache at times to fly as these ships really want to be pretty close together. bombs heavy list are a real problem as well, it's just a weak match-up. but overall i'm having a lot of fun flying it. just wanted to share!
