Crit injuries and setback dice

By amuller93, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I know i have read some were that when you do a crit on someone they get a setback die ( none for easy, 1 for one turn if its a normal and 1 for the rest of the encounter if its a hard one) But i cant find were i read that and good dame it is drving me nuts!

Dose anyone ells rember reading that in a errat or something?

There are specific injuries that will give a set back dice due to the injury. (Maimed and off balance).

The rule close to that is when a weapon is damaged it will give a setback dies per level until fixed.

I think i can conclude i migth slowly becoming insane

Really, the biggest "penalty" associated with Crits, until you start getting into the lingering, bad ones, is being that much closer to death.

I don't think many people understand just how lethal or non-lethal this game can be. Many players, myself included, struggled when coming from a d20 system, where you were basically dead if you lost all your hitpoints. So when I first went over my WT I thought I was dead, or soon to be, but then I got back up, with only a lingering critical injury. I started to feel somewhat invincible. Sure I could get knocked out, but I was unlikely to die. This lasted until I received a further 4 crits and had spent more time just reading the crit table to understand it, and seeing death as an option, and that each crit was adding +10 to the roll. You can be certain I rushed to find some medical care, as I realized each critical injury was bringing me closer and closer to a cliff I'd never be able to come back from.

And then your Gm throws a nemesis with a disrupted rifle and you get one shotted, oh and don't get me started on an NPC who duel wields lightsabers, one with a fully upgraded kimber stone and the other a fully upgraded krayt dragon pearl. That stuff is nasty.

or your duel-wielding gunslinger unloads on a sith with improved reflect...

I heard you like blaster bolts, so I reflected all of your friend's blaster bolts into you and your friends' faces. :)

I think that he's talking about the beginner game. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Unless you get a bacta tank. Which is ******* cheap... Than you are close to immortal.

Sure the tank is cheap, but the bacta sure isn’t, and who wants to share bacta!

Well the Bacta is 20 per liter if I remember correctly. But it is not stated anywhere how much bacta do you need to refill the whole tank. Or whether it is totally lost after one use. Or at least I wasn't able to find it the last time we argued about that.

I look at those tanks, that’s got to be 400 litres of bacta in there, it’s bigger than two decent sized baths for sure. That’s $8k.

Now like you I assume it lasts for more than one use, but not infinite uses... sounds a lot like blaster Ammo. Three Threat or a Despair on a Medicine Check when using the tank should indicate this is its last use and needs replacing.

But that’s just my opinion, don’t start a fight just because the internet said so!
