I always assumed that, but couldn't find anything in the rules or FAQ to confirm it. Thanks!

I was confused about that at first too. I thought it mean out the rear guides. I figured with the bombadier it just gave you more options.. drop 1, 2 or 5.
It's only defined in the resistance bomber rulebook which makes it doubly annoying that it's not just written on the card.

This is yet another argument for FFG to make the rules inserts available for download for ALL PLAYERS.

Yeah, along with the FAQ, they need to release an updated Rules Ref book.

But recall most bomb things are once-per-game. Getting two once-per-game effects in a single turn can be strong.
Hrm. I was trying to figure out when the "once per turn" rule came into X-Wing... no ship could carry more than one bomb until Andrasta in Wave 6, and then Extra Munitions came in Wave 7 with K-Wings and Punishers. Did the rule predate ways to drop multiple bombs?
One bomb per turn was introduced in the FAQ that followed the wave 7 release of Punisher and K. For a short time it was legal and possible to drop a bunch of bombs in the same turn.
