Crimson Specialist

By Mightybeard13, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I'm trying to come up with a list for this pilot. I'm happy with what I've got on the bomber but having a heck of a time trying to figure out suitable squad mates, I'd love some feedback.

Here's what I've come up with so far.

100 points

PILOTS

“Crimson Specialist” (36)
B/SF-17 Bomber (27), Enhanced Scopes (1), Ordnance Silos (2), Proton Bombs (5), Deflective Plating (1)

Gold Squadron Pilot (25) x 2
Y-Wing (18), Flight-Assist Astromech (1), Twin Laser Turret (6)

Captain Rex (14)

I think it would be a lot of fun ramming the bomber into other peoples ships and dropping Proton Bombs right in the middle of everything, especially in a furball. Hence the tlt y's since they don't want to get close to the action as it is.

I finally faced a pair of crimson builds last night. They are pretty dangerous!

One wingman that really surprised me, because I thought of it as well but I figured it was gonna be compelte crap, was new han with courier droid, harpoon missile, sabine, proton bombs.

So he plunked Han down in my deployment zone in one corner facing the other corner, far enough from his deployment corner to cover the R1 with a proton bomb. That would have been my ideal lane. I of course deployed facing him with Rey and Lowhricck. I charged him, he charged me, he tried harpooning me, I said no way... but it was enough of a hassle the trajectory bomber with bomblet snuck up and made me eat dirt pretty good. Lowhrick died, Rey made it out with 3 hull. (granted I had a 5 damage bump/bombing that really hurt)

@Mightybeard13 why no BTL title in the Y-wings? The Flight assist Astro arc-locks the turret, so you might as well get a little extra out of it.

I missed that first part of the card, I thought it would just give the y's a little extra maneuverability to make sure they could stay in range 2-3. I'd probably just switch it out for r2 astromech.
