I'm super excited to see what the differences between weekly and monthly OP are going to be, what prize support will be like, what the quarterly events are going to entail, and how much structure is going to be laid out! When do we think we'll start getting details? What kinds of things are you hoping to see?

In-Store Events

Each calendar quarter, starting at the beginning of 2018, participating local game stores can purchase a deluxe quarterly kit to host their in-store events with official prizes. Retailers can visit our instructional page for more information on how to get involved. They can select from our recommended Weekly Play or Monthly Play structures, or choose a different structure altogether. Each quarter also features a special bonus event , ranging from new player nights to challenging championships. Expect more details to be coming soon!

Zach Reyburn, the head of Asmodee OP, gave an interview on the 6th Ring podcast last week where he talks a bit about what's coming. Highly recommended.

Is there any tldr of the main points covered? Most importantly, was any timeframe mentioned for when we can expect the first OP kit to be released?

I've had the podcast on whilst gaming, but that does mean I get distracted from time to time, especially with it approaching 2 hours in length.

I think he said that he expects the first store kit to arrive in February.

There will be clan specific versions of role cards as promos (I am very excited about those!), clan specific first player tokens, playmats that you can win only at in-store events, you can "claim" your store as your (your clan's) stronghold, and more. It is definitely worth to listen to.
