I would really like this ship in X-Wing. It is sleek, a great callback to GR-75s, and featured prominently in the new movie. It also presents a great opportunity for design space.
Your first instinct may be to say "but it isn't armed!", but I say that's no issue. In epic play the GR-75 works very well as an unarmed ship (for a long time it even was the only epic ship deemed viable), and it presents some of the most interesting choices in the game because of that. Drawing the connection between the two ships and making the Transport a standard format counterpart to the GR-75 is kind of obvious.
From the GR-75 we can derive some pointers how to make this ship work. It can't be exact, because some epic actions (like Jam) have effects that are way more powerful in standard, while it lacks the ability to ram other ships to death. To be a strong supporter and to keep the little brother theme I would argue that Jam and Coordinate are both good ideas to put on this ship. Jam could be restricted to range one only if it proves to be too good.
The next big issue is price. The GR-75 shows us that for a pure support like this you can't have it cost much more than 1/6th of your list fully loaded. My gut feeling is that this is stricter in standard. That makes this ship a candidate for being the first less than 12 point ship. Possibly offset by being all unique, or by the notion that spamming them still is a bad idea.
The expansion itself would be a good opportunity to introduce crew cards for the new movie characters. I'm not quite sure about the ships size, but a medium blister seems appropriate and has enough space for some characters.
