Excited for Legion

By TheTerrainStudio - Shawn Morris, in Star Wars: Legion

Setting up some of the terrain I have leaving the studio and although I am saddened to not have official models I am excited for the prospects of this game. Thought I would share this image with the collective. Comments or thoughts welcomed as always.

Looks awesome

Fantastic!

Impressive, most impressive.

Looks epic.

Absolutely sterling job, as always.

Looks amazing that would be pretty epic to play on!

I would bomb it

Something to aspire to! Wow!

This is one of the reasons I'm so excited for Legion; the thematic and aesthetic experience it presents! Bravo on the scenery Shawn :)

I was watching one of the videos on your channel where you explained the way you lay flock down. Usually, I do the opposite of what you do—I start with the dark flock then lay the lighter over the top. However, I've noticed you do this the other way around, as do many others. Is there any particular reason for that?

That looks fantastic!

I find the darken tones get muted too much by the subsequent layers. Therefore I apply the darker tones where I wish to give the illusion of shadow. Starting with an earth base layer is the key in my opinion. I think about what grass looks like in nature, serves me well enough (at least thus far). Great question.

Awesome....!!!

Thanks for the answer. I'll try it out the next time I do a base to see the difference.
