Yeah @Nightone I think the way you asked the question might be the issue. You asked about committed your remaining Force rating, so Sam's answer is for a situation where all of your Force Rating has been committed.

Ok this must be some kind of "lost in translation" problem
since my question explicit ask about the "remaining force rating" and sam answered with "nope, no other powers available any more", I was pretty sure about my ruling.
but ok right now I am away from books for some days, so can't check the long text again, for some days.
But if you are right this power would contradict any force ruling so far... in my opinion.. but ok it wouldn't be the first time FFG does this. ^^

if you listen to the episode of the order66 podcast they do point out that this power does not work like other force powers
1/ it works identical for light side and dark siders (its a fixed effect)
2/ you don't generate force points
3/ you don't have a choice on using pips
4/ you can't uncommit
So yes straight off the bat it doesn't follow the same way other powers have worked previously
If you do listen to the podcast you will come across an anomaly though , the answer you get infers you can commit up to your force rating . Sam says you can commit once
Also you will find that the magnitude upgrades are a waste of time for everything except the basic power (possibly the basic power when upgraded with range, but Im still trying to get a definitive answer on that)
