...but having seen the movie, I'm not sure that there's much there to really add on to the game. That said, in order to troll the forum, perhaps this would be the time to suggest a Third Faction .

(Many X-Wing players said it would never happen, until it did. Many Armada players are still adamant that it will never happen.)

While I did think it could happen in X-Wing, and I still think it can - and should - in Armada, I think it's a much tougher sell for this game. Nevertheless, given that this game already embraces asymmetric warfare, I think that it's possible (though not necessarily plausible for FFG to do it) to have a scum & villainy (S&V) syndicate whose win conditions involve exploiting the chaos of the galactic civil war. Perhaps the Rebels and Imperials can influence movements of the reputation marker - if the Empire can impose law and order by destroying/disrupting S&V activities, then the reputation marker moves upward, and downward if the Rebels do so. Likewise, while both can implore an alliance with the S&Vs to help them in certain conditions, those alliances can be exposed by the other side for similar effects on the reputation marker.

But I can't see it actually happening. Making it balance would be nightmare for the game designers.

Hmm... I'm not sure Solo added enough to really justify an expansion, even with a third faction.

This game needs an App to let it run in SOLO mode or co-op. It would tripple sales like the Descent2 App did.

That's off-topic (which is fine, I'm not the topic police ? ), but certainly an awesome idea. It would take quite a bit of development on FFG's part to make the AI worthwhile. It would be worth it for us, but would it be worth it for them?

I guess that if you only read the title of this topic, then you could say that an expansion to play alone (solo) is indeed in-topic ?
