Hey all, I've been both on the giving and receiving end of a nasty pair of X-Wings, and I'm looking for a third ship to really push the team to the top of the pile. My squad so far...

Wedge is a remarkably cost-effective damage dealer, and Poe is super-solid in that buildout. Some thoughts for wingmen have included VI Fenn Rau to push the whole team to PS11, Wes Janson at PS9 to keep the X theme alive, Capt. Rex & AP-5 to work as either assistance units or bait, or Lowhhrick for added defense. Any other thoughts?

Blue ace with FAA, IA, and Primed thrusters. 30 points even and really fun. The hard turn boost is awesome.

Or you if you really want to get into someones head and think you are crazy you could field two Z-95s with some missiles. Gives you some quick damage and saves your aces for the end game. And the ability to reposition your aces while your z-95s are still alive.

Maul and Ezra on a PS1 Kashyyyk Defender. 180 degree arc with 3 dice with a single reroll/focus, plus a reinforce every turn. A bit of an anvil to anchor the list. If it gets focused by folks trying for a PS-kill, well, you've got the reinforce, and that'll spare a lot of heat from more important ships.

That Blue Ace is going to be wicked fun, though. Another X-idea: Red Squadron Veteran with Crack Shot, FAA/IA, and Advanced Optics comes in at 30 points. It won't move as well as Blue Ace, but it'll hit hard, and can still be pretty nimble.

Lowhhrick with Selflessness and Wookies might not be horrible either, he just might have a hard time keeping up with the boosting and barrel rolling the x wings might be doing.

Poe and Wedge can hit hard, the black one title with BB8 makes life difficult for all those ordinance loving folk - I shut down two gun boats for an entire game, they only got off one harpoon.

Fenn with M9-G8 and Weapons Engineer is incredible. Target Lock Poe and Wedge and you have essentially predator on both ships. The rear firing arc really helps with using Fenn's ability but also with keeping him out of harms way while still being able to shoot.

Where it shines is in target priority, there is a downside for your opponent to go after any of the ships first, there is no clear target; especially since they are all PS 11 and generally always moving last.

I like the Blue Ace and Fenn Rau ideas, however I'd also like to put forward the following for consideration:

Red Squadron Veteran

• R3-A2
• Wired
• Integrated Astromech
• Primed Thrusters

Comes in at 30pts exactly and can be decently manouverable thanks to the Primed Thrusters, as well as annoying for your opponents with R3-A2 (he might even become more of a target priority than Wedge for some opponents). Plus it always looks cool to fly 3 X-wings together.

Totally agree on the m9 weapons eng combo. It’s beauty

Flew this last night in a local tourney. Loved it. Made some key mistakes in one match but went 3-1.

I saw a version of Fenn with r2 and kyle katarn crew which could give him some good action economy, get good use out of those thrusters or coordinate plus a focus if he can trigger his ability. SO the debate is more actions for fenn or stripping focus from the enemy
