I'm new to the forum but not to FFG games. I have played and enjoyed thoroughly X-wing and Armada the later being my favourite game by a big margin. But I really enjoy skirmish so when Legion came about I have been following all the news with great excitement and I just had a few questions in which I hope to get some straight factual answers. Forgive my bluntness, my military background here, but I very rarely sign up or have moved completely away from forums due to the issues that have recently been highlighted by the moderator in this very forum. Way too many good games have been destroyed on forums by idiots with opinions none of them being factual and I very much endorse the wish for that not to happen here. So apologies if these questions have been asked before upfront,

I firstly wanted to establish what will be the general game size in points value? I have heard 800 points, but just wanted to establish that as best as can be done at this stage. Secondly that being the case I've also heard the gaming mat size to be about the 6ft x 3ft size is going to be the size battlefield recommended. I've seen some new mats coming out specifically for Legion by some UK based hobby company's and would like to get one to prep my scenery for those first games when the core set lands and the expansions of course. So any clarification on that would be much appreciated.
