I'm an X-Wing player who gave Destiny a try when it came out (I had never played CCGs before) and kind of lost interest when it became impossible to get any more boosters. This Christmas some co-workers started getting into it so with the thought of getting in a game or two over lunch break, I decided to jump back in. I got 2 booster boxes (a SoR and an EaW) to get some newer things and as my nephew and I dove into the boosters, I was hoping for a Thrawn. I actually gasped when I ripped open a pack and the die that fell out had a blue face staring back at me! After we finished opening the packs, I did some organizing and when I did, i notice that the Thrawn die had a chip/crack in it.

I contacted Asmodee and explained what happened and sent a pic (the same one attached above) and replay said they needed a picture of the receipt as well, so they closed it.
I created a new case with the same pic and a screenshot of the amazon receipt and waited. A few days later I got this reply:
QuoteThank you for submitting your request. Due to the nature of your request we are happy to send you a replacement booster pack and will ship you one at no cost to you. We hope this brings balance to the force. Thanks!
I interpret that as they will send me a random $3 booster pack to "balance the force". Am I out of line in thinking that this is a pretty lame replacement for a damaged Legendary die? This card/die is currently going for ~$25 on Ebay. It is just bad luck that the only die I got that was damaged was the one I wanted to most, and truth be told, if it was a Common or maybe even Uncommon die, I really wouldn't care.
If they do just send me a booster pack and it has a Thrawn (which means either they have boosters where they know what the die is or they get really lucky - 1/102 by my count), cool. We're good, and I have a second (damaged) die to run him Elite. If the pack has some other Legendary, I guess that would be okay. But if the die is a Common or Uncommon, should I not feel a little bit cheated? Or am I overreacting and the die is fine to use anyway? Are there any tournament rules restricting use of cracked/chipped dice?
