In my continuing search for inspiration as a GM, I'm looking for cool, well GMed PbP games to read, especially games which have been going on for a long time, or which finished after a good long run. Can anyone recommend such a game?
Looking to read a good PbP
Or if there is an online log of a good in-person game, that would be great as well.
Spefically FFG Star Wars?

Yeah, although a good Saga one might tide me over.
I haven't been following anything current, but I have a couple games that people seemed to enjoy:
Into the Fray (this one ran for about 4 years before fading out, but requires a d20radio forum login)
I burnt myself out on way too much PbP, unfortunately. A year later I started up again, but am taking it easy on the involvement
I currently have one solid D&D PbP going, and am running some face-to-face D&D and Star Wars games on a fairly regular schedule.
Also I've very recently switched to present-tense narration as opposed to past-tense. I always enjoyed reading past-tense more, but it's a bear to try and run a game using it.

Yeah, it's easier to get in the mindset of writing in present tense as a PC.

Thanks!! Looking forward to reading these... I know from experience that you're a good writer.
For a couple of relative long-runners, I'd recommend these two:
Friends Like These (GM Kaigen) - http://roleplayinggames.net/cgi-bin/mainboard.cgi?&board=54
Tempest Feud (GM LadySkywalker) - http://roleplayinggames.net/cgi-bin/mainboard.cgi?&board=68
I play in the former, and hear good things about the latter. Both GMs are on the forums under the above usernames (in case they're reading)
Thanks!!

Very proud of the fact that these two are still going (over a year and almost two years, respectively, I believe). However, there is another game on that site called Wars of the Republic, which ran for around 7-10 years before concluding. It uses the D6 rules, however.
Edited by LadySkywalkerI'll echo @awayputurwpn suggestions. Shadows of the Future was a delight to play in while it lasted. The drama was a lot of fun to participate in.
Feel free to read through the alchemical problems pbp here in this forum.
One thing is we include minor occ in our ic thread like simple questions in parenthesis and dice rolls so you can see some of the inner workings

That's where that stuff belongs, IMO. Lengthy OOC discussions should take place in the OOC thread, but dice rolls and table talk that directly pertains to the narrative should be put IC (although it's not necessarily In Character, it's definitely In Context).
When i see a pbp I'm interested with 30 pages of ooc and only 7 pages of ic I get worried.

No joke. It's a decent metric for how enjoyable the game is, at a glance
Not the only one, of course... I'm sure there's a game that disproves the rule.

It was a lot of fun, I do miss it. A good introduction to the world of PbPs

For the games I'm part of we use Google Hangouts to coordinate OOC matters, so we just fling the GM a quick message. That really keeps things simple for OOC

We do the same. Makes the game process a lot faster and smoother than just waiting on a response to your OOC post in a thread.
@awayputurwpn, do you have a link handy to the character sheets for the Into the Fray game?
For sure, they're posted here: http://www.d20radio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=11010
This was well before SWSheets was a thing ![]()
I'd also check out the Living on Borrowed Time thread that's on the Age of Rebellion forum (& may also be on the Gamesmasters Forum, but don't quote me on that) ... It's not pbp but it's 20+ episodes of cracking Star Wars role-playing in my opinion
You're more than welcome to check out the rpg.net Actual Play thread of our Kingdom of the Force campaign: https://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?780025-FFG-Star-Wars-Kingdom-of-the-Force
