The other night I shaved the flash and mold lines on my Grotesque figure and tonight I did the Flesh Rippers. One of the things that has always bugged me about the Grotesque figure is the wrinkly neck flaps on its left side. I just couldn't figure out what that was about, especially when comparing this Grotesque to the BattleLore Grotesques. But as I primed my Flesh Rippers, I noticed they had very similar flaps of skin around their necks. Additionally, their fore-legs have 4 toes, but their hind legs have only 3. The Grotesque also has 3 toes on its feet. These two things have me convinced that this particular Grotesque was transformed into some sort of Flesh Ripper hybrid. I appreciate the model a lot more now that I understand the direction the modelers were taking with this sculpt.
