I guess I chose a poor time to get interested in this game. Why is every single item out of stock on FFGs website? Did this game fall out of popularity or something? My FLGS has no IA stuff and it has me concerned that every single item on FFG is also OOS.
Out of Stock

Because of some licensing stuff with Hasbro, FFG is not allowed to sell Star Wars boardgames. Therefore, they can't sell IA. You'll have to pick it up from Miniature market or some other online shop.
It's the holidays. Even Amazon struggled to keep some items in stock. I take it to mean the game is rising in popularity
@Gym Kirk I'm not saying any of this to you so please don't take this personally. I just want to see if there isn't a way the forums can better deal with this topic coming up all the time (and Facebook, because I saw this question pop up there two or three times in the last week alone)
Is there any way we could get a stickied topic that said "FFG can't sell Imperial Assault directly on it's website, and, no, IA is not being discontinued." And has a full explanation in the first post?
There's just got to be a better way to communicate this than answering a new thread every couple weeks and it's only gotten more often with the app coming out. I'm all for the new people coming to the game but it's almost doing more damage by not directly addressing it because many people jump in and come to mistaken conclusions of the game is dying. It's like fake news but worse cuz this matters
I also don't get how anyone who asks this but says they searched for answers doesn't find the answer if they've searched online. I googled "is imperial assault discontinued" and this is the first thing that pops up...

My apologies for not searching. I would have never guessed in a hundred years that a company that can print the game isn’t allowed to sell it. In fact my first reaction would be that it’s fake news. This should be a sticky as well and FFG saying something on their website. It shouldn’t say out of stock. I appreciate all the responses.

The searching thing was on some other posts of seen. Not directed at you. I get that it's a really weird thing to run into, it's all good.
Now about that sticky...

Really excited that the game is generating more interest! Buy it all--immediately!
Technically it doesn't say Out of Stock. It says Not Available.
Yes. But I think it's possible, that for everyone asking in this forum, if the game is discontinued, there are two people checking the website because they are interested in buying the game, not asking that question but simply turning away, because they believe the game is discontinued ...
Maybe FFG could adress this ...
On the bright side though, more people on here asking = more people getting interested in the game!
But yeah, a sticky would be so, so easy and would save people a lot of grief. But even better would be a short explanation on the FFG page to the tune of "we don't sell this here, ask at your local retailer"

True. Like right above all the drop down links for the IA products and on each page for each figure/expansion. That would be helpful. Even if it was vague as to why, but like you said they point you to a retailer.
