I've been brainstorming a campaign I would like to one day run, and am trying to think of a few episodic quests for new Jedi-in-training PCs. I'm thinking of buying all of the Jedi Apprentice series of books as inspiration later down the line, but for now, I thought I'd ask you all for ideas!
Ideas for Episodic New Jedi Order Quests
One of my ideas was to take the dawn temple and have more prisoners who were some of the lost 20 ( I know it doesn't match up lore wise but maybe something like them) and the PCs must track down dark jedi across the galaxy as they return to home planets. It lets you explore the galaxy, have awesome lightsaber fights, and get good stories on why they were locked up. Maybe they were shacking up with their padawans, maybe they were using influence in really immoral ways, secret fight clubs, or heirs to royalty on planets. You could make a list of a ton of them and have them at different ranks (padawan, knight, master) and then your PCs could be tracked down alongside these jedi as they are swinging around lightsabers.
Hethan could then provide intel on each jedi from the dawn temple and provide quests at intervals (maybe as he unlocks technical archives in the temple).
I know it is a lot but i feel like it sets up a good framework for a campaign

It's definitely a fun idea for a campaign, just doesn't mesh with the campaign I'm thinking of running. I'm looking for more "diplomatic missions, learning ancient Jedi history, stopping Inperial remnants," that kind of thing. Post RotJ new Jedi Order slowly rising from the ashes. I've just never really done diplomatic missions or anything like that in the games I've run, and don't have any good ideas for that kind of stuff.
Edited by Underachiever599Random plot kernels off the top of my head, most are going to be assuming these are starting PC newbs, and thus nothing too dangerous, the kind of thing that it would actually make SENSE to send untrained recruits on, unsupervised
1. The location of their training school has a pest problem of some kind. Items are coming up missing, or found in very strange locations, nowhere near where they were actually left by their owner. Or, food is going missing, along with other items (perhaps some personal keepsakes of the higher NPC's, or important objects that MUST be found). The PC's then have to do a dungeon crawl to see what's going on. Since they are perhaps even children, or at the very least, new PC's with little in the way of skill, the dungeon will mostly be skill challenges, not fights with creatures. Perhaps there is some Force nexus/vergence deep under their school. Not strong, but noticeable when you get close enough. The PC's can tap into the Force to try and find the source, and learn it's where the animals that have been stealing things live. Depending on your mood of how it plays out, you can have the creatures be something of an obvious threat, and your martial PC's can kill them. Or, if you are looking for a non-lethal option (my preference), have the animals simply be sensitive to the Force like the PC's, and found the place comforting for a home. They aren't dangerous, they're just animals, and it could let your non-martial PC's perhaps find a way to stop the animals from stealing, without having to kill them.
2. The PC's are sent to the nearby bit of civilization (assuming there is one on the planet with the school), to meet a friend of the Jedi Master, who just arrived on planet and is at the starport. The Master has to leave for a few hours to deal with something, but is confident the Padawans can play Taxi/Tour Guide to the old friend until he returns. However, when they arrive, the friend has been accosted by the local law enforcement, or a local criminal gang. The PC's have to deal with trying to resolve whatever issue got the friend detained (non-lethal/sneaky/social options if it's the cops that too him, lethal options if it's a gang) before the Master returns.
3. The PC's receive a distress signal , either on surface or in space. It's very faint, but they can make out the basic coordinates with an Astrogation check (not hard, you want them to get there afterall, or just avoid the check entirely). Again, the Master is away, and the PC's have to deal with this now. The situation is too urgent to wait for supervision. They head off to save the day, and then you insert whatever adventure you want them to deal with. Crashed ship survivors, trapped by local fauna. Trap by some bounty hunters, looking for Force-sensitives, or whatever you think fits.
And I can probably cook up some more soon, but it's late and that's what I've got right now.
