The book does not seem to implicitly state this like it does for exceeding your Wound Threshold, but do you get an automatic Critical Injury for exceeding your Strain Threshold and becoming incapacitated?
Strain and incapacitation
No crit, but you do feel faint...
It'd be pretty weird if someone could tease you so hard that your arm falls off.

Kobold pops up from behind a rock and yells "Boo!" *insert fleshy-plop noise* "Oh god, my leg! My leg!" Sir Tim the Faint rolls poorly and is so scared, his leg goes flying off.
Keep in mind that causing someone to exceed their strain threshold through use of talents like Scathing Tirade, or as part of a Social Encounter, doesn't mean they pass out. It means that they are so stunned and morally defeated by your words that they have to sit down and people start sending them burn treatment memes.

The first time you shut down a boss NPC with a Scathing Tirade....
Hit submit too early.

"Tis but a scratch!"
Darn, I misread the title as "Strain and decapitation" and was really wondering where the title was going... safe to say I was disappointed.
Whilst you can't get Critical Remarks (the strain equivalent of Critical Injuries) for exceeding your Strain Threshold, you can get them through Advantage or Triumph spends.
