I have known about Dagobah Dave's Trench Run for about 30 minutes less than I knew about X-Wing. 4 years later, I have finally given it a go!!
We played Team Epic style, with each player bringing a list as specified by the rules, so we essentially had twice as many ships as the scenario calls for. Seemed to work just fine.
My brothers were Rebels. They split into X-Wings (Luke, Wedge, Biggs, and Red Sqd) and Y-Wings (Gold Sqd + aces).
My nephew fielded Vader, 2 Glaive Defenders, and a Gamma Vet with Cruise Missiles and Plasma Torps.
I fielded Anything But Black Squadron:
Juno Eclipse (29)
TIE Advanced (28), TIE/x1 (0), Advanced Targeting Computer (1)
“Youngster” (20)
TIE Fighter (15), Snap Shot (2), Stealth Device (3)
“Howlrunner” (21)
TIE Fighter (18), Stealth Device (3)
Black Squadron Pilot (15) x 2
TIE Fighter (14), Veteran Instincts (1)
Onyx Squadron Escort (25)
TIE Aggressor (19), Twin Laser Turret (6)

We set up across the long edges, on opposite ends; the Imps had to deploy in one corner and the Rebs deployed to drop into the Trench ASAP.
The X-Wing aces dropped into the trench, and the rest of the Rebels raced across to engage the Imperials and destroy power nodes:

The Rebels seemed to be doing well, destroying 2 nodes, but then Biggs was destroyed by Trench cannons. The countdown timer was running out, and it seemed that the X-wings would not make it down the trench in time. Han showed up on R1, and killed an Academy TIE, giving the Rebels 1 more round!!

It was the break the Rebels needed. Luke and Biggs made it to the end of the trench, in R3 of the port. . .if this shot didn't go in, the clock was out:

Luke fires his Protons Torpedoes!! Hot dice give 4 hits!! Green dice do what they do: fail.
Awesome night of XWM. Even though I lost, there is something extremely satisfying in having Luke blow this thing so we could all go home!!
