Epic play allows up to 12. Unfortunately, I don't have enough either, although I did get to fly all 8 i own plus 2 carriers in an epic tournament 2 weeks ago. So much fun!

Well....no. Just like the Raider comes with the new title for the Tie Advanced (the "fix" for it), you don't get that title in any new pack of the Tie Advanced that you buy. The new Epic modifications only come in the Gozanti and the CROC. If you do not own one of those ships, I would seriously proxy the 3 epic modifications that came in those later ships. They are the fix for epic ships.
Personally, I think it would be better if you could add crew to do more actions in a round. I mean, the epic ships are stuff full of people, right? Is everyone sitting there not doing anything while the targeting guy sits at his console getting a TL? Maybe add Crew or Teams that let you do more than one action a turn. That's what I would suggest.
“Personally, I think it would be better if you could add crew to do more actions in a round.“ - @heychadwick
This. To make the big plasticBeasts do better, you can treat the ships as if they get double everything (actions, energy, etc) but just one manuver as we don’t want them flying better but feel bulky....it helps them feel more epic.
And it is ordered.

You have to admit with only 8 maneuvers that does leave the dial for huge ships rather restrictive. Dial limitation were one of the reason why FFG started to make up new maneuvers with the current template they had (i.e. S-Loop).
I have thought of ways of opening the huge ship dial for later ships and included such as a double bank but the double bank uses more energy and with huge ship banks being only 30 degrees (unlike standard 45 degrees for small and large ships) it is still comparably slow to other ships. Funny enough it was the stop and revers maneuvers that got the most skepticisim. The 1 and 2 straight will always generate the most energy though.

I think that's the point though. It doesn't make sense for these big lumbering behemoths to be unpredictable or maneuverable (at least compared to snub fighters). The strategy element of maneuvering is reduced in epic ships and they have energy management to make up for it.
I agree that someday they should give an epic ship reverse and/or stop. I could see the stop being some kind of upgrade.

Well yeah huge ships should be predictable and their maneuvers should not be as maneuverable as a starfighter or freighter. But with X-wing every small and large ship has a different move profile and that is really want I was going for with the ideas for different maneuvers for huge ships. The overall idea is you trade one of the maneuvers such as a 2 bank or a 4 straight for one of the other maneuvers such as a double bank or a stop. Huge ships gain a little more maneuverability at the cost of top speed which is already slow to begin with. Sure the energy management will help to diversifying the movement profiles of the various huge ships in the game as they are doing now but if Epic is to have more than 6 huge ships via 2 per primary faction (and there is no reason why they should) then the current system would not be enough to avoid repeats in dials.

I’ll challenge that - why do we need more than two per side? Does epic really get played enough that it matters?
My CR90 hit the mat twice in 2017. My rebel transport once (the game before I bought the cr90) and then again for the HotAC missions. My C-ROC hit the mat just for the campaign that came in the expansion (and boy that was fun). I still need to fly my Gozanti.
Even though some of us love epic, we rarely get to find the time to actually go through with it. That’s a sad reality for the casual gamer — it is easier to set aside an hour or so for a standard game or maybe 90 min for a HotAC mission than it is to commit to the couple hours an epic will almost certainly require. My all time fastest epic was 90 min and my longest running one wasn’t even done after 3 hours so we just called it quits 3.5 hours in!
Put it to you this way - I’d be plenty happy if there no more epics after the scum corvette sized one. I’d still have to make sure they all get use, and it would be a trick to pull off even annually. Maybe my time availability will change at some point but I think for a lot of folks that is going to be a factor.

Yes, we need more support for formats other than the 100 point competitive standard. Granted the 100 point should be the focus as it is the easiest to play, about 1 huge ship a year should be spaced enough to keep Epic format fresh as it doesn't get played as much as standard.
Now some people say and I quote "why don't you juts go play armada then?" the simple answer is the mechanics of Armada is not the same as X-wing neither does games of Armada have that epic feel as Huge ships (although they are the smallest ships in Armada) in X-wing.
So yes Epic isn;t as important as the core standard but it should not be ignored and forgotten after 6 huge ships are released.

Still only one more than my 8.
Although I do have 13 Z95s...

I just need 1 for each of the rings given to men by Sauron.

I would much rather they come out with better missions, campaigns etc rather than more epic ships. If we are supporting more than 100/6, why not something similar to HotAC, or DagobahDave’s trench run? I’d rather see more support of that variety rather than just more epic ships for the rare chance I get to fly epic play.

I have done so many with the Raider because of the firepower the Raider has and paired up with Vader <crew> makes it a devestating gunship. So I need to try out the Corellain Captain (Han Solo <crew>, Weapons Engineer) or with Wookie Commandoes to make use of those focus results. Problem is the CR-90 has so many questions that FFG has refused to answer in an FAQ because they are so focused on the cancer that is competitive standard and so called meta balance.

- Esege Tuketu Focus token
- double crew on multiple sections
- the list goes on for huge ships and epic...
Well, there is that email from Frank Brooks floating around that says yes Esege's focus tokens work for the CR90.

Every Huge ship comes with a campaign. It is just like the campaign with the other box expansions (non-blister) they don't get played as much. Also most of the box expansions only come with one or two missions and not a whole branching campaign.

If time is a restriction do what I do and only play and collect one faction. I suggest the superior Imperial faction
. This means for Epic I only have the Raider and Gozanti. They, plus the stuff they came with, gets plenty of play then as they are not on a huge rota. My brother collects Rebels and sometimes we switch if we get the itch. We only set aside one night a week to play and split it with Armada!

Yes and the Gozanti campaign is so awesome I’ve played it twice.

Get out!
In the middle of the Correllian Campaign there’s nothing more Epic than that! X-Wing needs a campaign of similar calibre.
An Australian regionas had CROCs for AUD$50, or $40 USD, which was pretty absurd.
Nothing will beat HotAC for Epic campaigns for me, though. Fighting 30+ TIEs with a single souped-up X-wing is amazing.
The Tantive just arrived. I have several epic lists ready to go. This is going to be awesome!
