Just saw that the Tantive IV is in stock again at www.miniaturesmarket.com. I know it’s been out for years but it’s been out of stock everywhere I’ve looked so I was excited to be able to get one.

I was lucky enough to catch a Raider 20% off at the FLGS (an hour away) a couple weeks ago. Went to see TLJ and got a (second) Raider for $80. It was a good weekend. I normally buy online, since this is the closest shop to me, but I do buy from there occasionally when I’m in the area. I was prepared to pay full price since people are gouging for the few you can find online these days, trying to capitalize on the shortage. The 20% off was a nice bonus. I suppose their XWM stock was on sale due to the opening weekend of TLJ.

Glad you guys finally got these! One of the advantages of having been playing forever is I always get my stuff right away and never really had to wait on anything being back ordered... Glad they actually keep reprinting stuff too.

I remember the wait for the first reprint of the Squint. What long, cold days those were...

Probably not it’ll be a reprint not a second or revised edition although I think they should take the opportunity to produce errata’d cards. Anyway the best thing with the Raider is the Raider closely followed by the amazing TIE Advanced cards. Palp was an insignificant addition for me (I accept I’m a minority case though ).

If you are interested, The Shuttle Tydirium did the campaign and talked about it. Some missions are not so hot with new ships. We went over a few ideas on tweaking the missions and all to make it better. Still fun, though.

Tantive is one of my favorite ships of xwing. Turn it loose in epic play and have a blast.

i love throwing Roark near it so it’s attacking with all its weapons at PS12.

I like it. I have the rebel transport but have never engaged in epic battle. Planning our first battle soon.

When you play Epic, I strongly recommend you proxy the cards for the "epic fix cards" that came in the....Gozanti? I feel that you really need to have those epic modifications to really enjoy Epic. The missions also teach you a bit about the ship to learn how to fly it.

CR-90 likes to broadsides ships due to it's firing arcs. It doesn't like to go head on against anything. Don't fly it directly at the Raider. It won't go well.

You may think Single Turbo Lasers are no good, but I've killed X-wings with them.

Don't forget to look at the FAQ for Epic as some things have changed. You only add 1 extra green die after R3, not one per Range (So, R5 does not give you 3 extra green dice).

C-ROC has them too but yes Gozanti was the first.

For the original poster - he’s right. Make sure you get the other stuff figured out.

my load out has been usually something like

CR90, single turbo laser on each half, quad laser on front second hardpoint, optimized generators to get all the energy, weapons engineer + the team that allows target locks to range 5. I’m thinking about ditching that combo for Maul and just find an Ezra somewhere in my epic list. Costs a little cheaper and doesn’t require as strong a commitment to specific targets.

I don't know about the new Raider but the reprinted K-Wing I just got for Christmas had an updated Advanced Slam card in it so that was nice.

I would assume so. It seems that when an item hasn’t been out of stock for a very long time, when the reprint hits it drops updated text for the cards in it, if required.

Next paycheck, my collection will be complete. Almost.

Since this is a reprint Tantive I’m hoping all the corrected items are in the expansion. They should be, right?

I need to try an epic game with the CR-90. I have done so many with the Raider because of the firepower the Raider has and paired up with Vader <crew> makes it a devestating gunship. So I need to try out the Corellain Captain (Han Solo <crew>, Weapons Engineer) or with Wookie Commandoes to make use of those focus results. Problem is the CR-90 has so many questions that FFG has refused to answer in an FAQ because they are so focused on the cancer that is competitive standard and so called meta balance.

• double crew on multiple sections
• the list goes on for huge ships and epic...

I can commiserate with this...I only bought one squint when they came out, and had to wait for the reprint to get a second one... and then the Aces pack came out and I got two of those. So I have six squints now.

Apart from the Silencer, I got a "one of each" collection complete, including Epics- and man, those large Epics truly deserve the name. 300 pts Epic plays like a massive Slo-Mo action scene from the movies, with Flakfire rippling through the void, attack formations strafing the hull, unlucky pilots smashing into surface emplacements...

So stoked to play again tomorrow. Chiraneu demands to go to ludicrous speed!

As far as Esege Tuketu goes, by a strict reading of the rules if an epic ship chose to treat Esege's focus tokens as its own they would be immediately discarded.

I didn’t realise it was out of stock. Great centrepiece to any fleet. Mine is in my living room!
