New Falcon look in Han Solo movie.

the odds of fans accepting such a drastic (and horrible) change to the design of the Falcon is approximately 0.

I'm glad you're here to tell us these things. ;)

Now, make it a different ship, maybe even another YT model, and we've got something.

That's a given already.

Is YT-1350 taken?

Introduce whatever other YT variant is in the movie and just happen to include the pilot card and cardboard for a scum Han YT1300

Done

<snip>

Not necessarily; the 1300 was notoriously customizable and the pre-Han Falcon could have already been tailored for whatever purpose an elongated, filled-in nose could serve.

But, it’s sounding like it’s fan-art anyway, so... \_(ツ)_/

And why would it NOT be different? That would break the marketing mold of slightly changing ships to sell new toys!

I like it but clearly it isn't correct since the slot in the middle for freight is filled (or the freight is really small). It is a freighter...

If the art is fake or not, I don't care. I just hope the movie doesn't suck.

My theory is that the ship is initially Lando’s, a purebred ‘racing’ ship or at least a 1300 he’s modified extensively into one. At some point, he gambles it, loses it to Han who subsequently ends up with it and cannibalises the thing into the Falcon he (we) knows and loves.

I mean the livery, the streamlining; it’s all there. And Lando looks like he has a few bucks. The whole ship has a ‘low drag’ aesthetic (I know drag in flight isn’t the same in space but... Star Wars).

It still could have been the Stellar Envoy at some point. Plenty of time between Episode II (or was it III?) and Solo: ASWS for Lando to get hold of it and turn it into a space hot rod.

I mean people race trucks right, that’s a thing.

Well, it's flat. . .kinda like a candy dish.

Unless... It's a special Speed Package! You know, like the nose and tail extensions on the classic Superbird.

It doesn't necessarily mean that it's not what the Falcon will look like, even if the artwork isn't officially something made by Disney, the elements obviously come from somewhere and certainly look like they are from the Solo movie, whether or not they did something with the Falcon is up in the air until they show us official Artwork proving one way or the other

Well how the fel is it supposed to push cargo around without the gap and connection port?

But given the leaks about how Disney has already written off the movie I don't think this is anything to get het up over.

assuming those aren't someone's photoshops.

The Lego sets? They look to real to me, to me fakes. Lego also have a looong history of having their stuff leaked!

Interestingly on the Falcon Pic top left corner on the box, the text on the box-piece say "Kessel Run Millennium Falcon".

So I guess the plot will go something like this:

Han makes a wager with Lando about winning the Kessel Run, which includes the Millennium Falcon (looking like on the Lego-box) as part of the bet. He and Chewie then installs some special modifications to the Falcons hyperdrive (=”Burn-out Slam”?), which is probably stolen from a Hutt/Empire. He and Chewie then wins the Kessel Run and the Falcon - but this attracts to much attention to him and the ship (possibly also from Lando not satisfied with his loss) - or after winning Han does not want to give the special hyperdrive-parts back to the Hutt, and then has to run. Possibly also another deal with the Hutt going wrong on top of that. Either way he has to disappear and to facilitate this he has to make the Falcon look like any other Falcon giving the Falcon its current look – but keeping those special internal modifications.

Not sure I like the elongated nose.

I'm with you. It looks horrible in my opinion.

The Falcon has one glaring inconsistency. It looks like the Force Awakens Millenium Falcon (75105) with a slightly lighter grey and differing greebles along with a few features like sensor and cannon.

The inconsistency is that the front forks are each 2 studs wide at the tip, and the width between is 6 studs. Now while it is possible this section in this proposed set is a permanant structure, it may be a cargo pod. Regardless, while the front section of the falcon is roughly 10 studs wide, the front of the falcon in the Lego box shows it as 6 studs wide, making the stud placement not line up correctly.

I am really not interested in ANOTHER falcom ship for the game. Perhaps some new pilots or upgrades but I really do not need to find space to fit another large Falcon model.

The Cargo Pushing is not official. It is only mentioned in the end notes of a supplement book that it was considered to be made canon.

Yeah I had never heard about it pushing cargo until recently. It seems like a really bad idea to have the concussion missiles fire directly into where a large cargo container would be.

Unless, most models don't come with a missile launchers. Much like a machine gun is not a standard for a Toyota Corolla.

Also, and this is a wacky thought, what if this middle part is actually a cargo pod?

I'm fine with it looking different. Corellian stock freighters biggest feature is the ability for customization. Han even said in the first movie that he customized the **** out of the Falcon.

Yeah im funny like that, I sold my HOTR Falcon, because having two Falcons was just wrong. This one however, is probably different enough that I would keep it. Thing is, if it's going to be the scum faction that just gets Chewie, Han and Lando I will pass. Those guys flies for the rebellion or solo in my fluff heart.

Is it wrong to hope this is some kind of racing modification? I mean, if we HAVE to see the Kessel Run, can it just be a legit, Mario-Kart/Speed Racer-style starship rally race? Please?

Probably not, I have noticed that if you want something good in a Star Wars movie you probably wont see it?
